Its determined by how long a song is , the longer a song the later it is in a mix, i wanted to go for variety

One of the most interesting mixtapes I ever got was called "90 Songs In 90 Minutes" and was exactly that.

Its great fun and most of these songs are from 1-3 minutes. I am trying to find enough interesting and varied v. v. short songs to make a real mix

One of my mix tape ideas (either 2 c90s or only 2 sides of the 1 c90) that I thought of for a long time was ' The Long and Short of it' On one would be as many short songs as i could fit and the other would have really long songs. Clearly the long song one was problematic cause you could prob. find some jazz track that filled the whole side but I was thinking in terms of tracks about 15 minutes long so there would only be 3 of them or something.

Just working to the made up rules in my head. It must have been some job to find 90 songs that lasted on average a minute.

Good mix. Stereo Total are great , I saw them support the Strokes recently and they were much more fun.
The last mix I made (the 50th out of 50 cause I bought 50 cheap Cd-Rs) had 98 tracks, all excerpts of about 45 seconds gathered from the Addicted to Noise website.

five years pass...

um so i have a couple of tracks i'm in love with and the flow's perfect so far but i'm having trouble finishing the thing. just wanted to throw this out there and see if anyone had suggestions, thanks!
