A different kind of ILM Snapshot. Are you one of those people who breezes past the CDs and heads straight for the T-Shirts? Posters? Pins? Stickers? N'Sync lunchboxes?

Batteries, boringly enough.

Other maybe a magazine or concert tickets, it would be last Christmas. I went into Sam Goody's in the mall looking for Britney or TRL junk gifts for my 10 year-old neice. I came away with a jiggling hula dancer figurine you're supposed to attach to your car's dashboard. It was marked down from $10 to $1.50. I took it to the record store where I really shop gave it to them to stick on their cash register.

Probably a copy of The Wire if I'm honest.
Slightly cooler answer: a second-hand paperback of Gore Vidal's Burr.

Jeff W, Wednesday, 10 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Close Encounters DVD.

Martin Skidmore, Thursday, 11 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Of course I can't hear you, I don't read ILM, remember? It's not like my email address is a state secret.

Pyth, Thursday, 11 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Last time I was in THESE records shop I bought a copy of Edwin Prevost's book 'No sound is innocent' (ed mark s). To say it is 'thought provoking' is an understatement, to say the least.

Julio Desouza, Thursday, 11 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I always LOOK for Cure t-shirts, but wherever I am never has any. So i'm always forced to return to my darkened room and cry (bitter tears of sadness and/or regret). Or just buy some records instead. Whichever.

forced to return to my darkened room and cry

Another way of saying, "resume normal Cure fandom behavior"?

Curt, Thursday, 11 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Inbetween back-combing my hair into oblivion, obviously ;-)

Virgin Mobile phone vouchers.

Am currently lusting over the complete Metallica action figures stage set in the window in The Rock Shop in Rye (NB ATPers have no excuse not to buy me it - £59.99). The bass player has his hair frozen in mid head bang.

Graham, Thursday, 11 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Hmm, I think it was a 'Computer World' t-shirt! Or a blank tape... I can't remember. No, it might have been a used VHS of 'Spinal Tap', in fact. All great things, of cauce.

Clarke B., Thursday, 11 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Some of you guys sound like you consider Best Buy a record store. Let's see.....is that where I got my microwave? Yeah, put me down for that.

Curt, Friday, 12 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

three weeks pass...
A crappy (bright yellow!) sony sports radio with headphones. I was running late to catch a ferry, my headphones had just died, and I was not about to take the ride in silence.

lyra in seattle, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

A CD, hah hah.

Anna Rose, Wednesday, 8 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

A gadget that cleans off cd's and another gadget that cleans off your laser lenses in your cd players. (5 different ones all told. They all sounded like they needed cleaning.)
