The current crop of Swede rock is very studied, caculated and so in awe of American rock mythology that it doesn't seem very genuine sometimes... Hives, Hellacopters, Flaming Sideburns, etc., seem so hell-bent on reproducing Detroit '68 that there's very little Swedishness to it... Soundtrack of our Lives seem a little better in that they break up the sound with all kinds of influences. Swedepop like the Cardigans and Komeda seems more Euro, and therefore more organic.
