Is this another Yummy/Jadakiss/Rockwilder song, or is it the old one again?

Yah , this song is from like '05 (if you're talking about "Come Get It"), but it's totally brilliant.

I'd still like to know what happened to that song -- or even Yummy -- in the US. The video was played on BET, the song was used in that car commercial, then POOF. And, apparently, Motown over here wants nothing to do with a perfectly adequate Lil' Mo surrogate.

Yeah, I've always wondered the same. It sounds like a #1 Hit to me, yet it went absolutely nowhere. So odd.

Yummy Bingham's single One More Chance beneficed of a good buzz among the Urban UK community, making it staying 5 weeks at #2 on the BBC 1xtra R&B Charts (based on the 12" vinyl sales). It came to the attention of Island Record Group (Motown's parent company in the UK) who selected Bingham for a UK release.

She was introduced to the English audience in late August as one of the new revelations of the 2006 Notting Hill Carnival. During the Carnival, Yummy's Come Get It emerged on different music channels and she showcased the single live at BBC 1Xtra's high profile Carnival Afterparty. The video has been everywhere on the UK music channels but disappeared as quick as it surfaced. When the single hit the stores on October 2nd, the buzz was just going down. Bad distribution and a too early digital UK release (June 12th) made the single only charting #82 on the UK singles charts and #38 on the UK R&B Charts.

Yummy's debut album The First Seed was released in the UK on October 9th, with Muzik Park Record still associated on the project. It is currently unknown when (or whether) the album will be released in the United States. Yummy Bingham is still in part of owning Muzik Park but she's less involved in the label and she's not represented or managed anymore by the company.

Yummy is anticipating the release of her second UK single One More Chance in January 2007. The UK 12" promo single has been pressed and distributed November 20, 2006.
