the table is the table, Friday, 16 March 2007 04:02 (eighteen years ago)

say hi to baby ford & zip for me!

lfam, Friday, 16 March 2007 04:07 (eighteen years ago)

you should plan a trip up north.

the table is the table, Friday, 16 March 2007 04:13 (eighteen years ago)

holy shit. i think i have to go to this.

jergincito, Friday, 16 March 2007 10:16 (eighteen years ago)

i just wish there was ticket infos available so i can know what i need to save... cani pay by day? by show? what the deal.

the table is the table, Friday, 16 March 2007 20:49 (eighteen years ago)

JEFF GREINKE??

fies, Friday, 16 March 2007 21:01 (eighteen years ago)

and robert rich and monolake... is there an ambient revival?

fies, Friday, 16 March 2007 21:03 (eighteen years ago)

No CC? But otherwise, DAMN!

matt2, Friday, 16 March 2007 21:06 (eighteen years ago)

isn't it free?

sexyDancer, Friday, 16 March 2007 21:07 (eighteen years ago)

IT'S FREE? HOLY FLURKING SCHNIT. i am so there it hurts.

the table is the table, Friday, 16 March 2007 21:28 (eighteen years ago)

but it IS all about the after-parties, you know, old bean.

sexyDancer, Friday, 16 March 2007 21:31 (eighteen years ago)

For some reason I thought it wasn't free anymore. Or was that just when it was Fuse-In?

matt2, Friday, 16 March 2007 21:34 (eighteen years ago)

well duh it's about the after-parties... but that list alone is worth going, never mind after-parties.

the table is the table, Friday, 16 March 2007 21:48 (eighteen years ago)

it's not free, it's usually something like $15/day or $40 for the whole weekend

if CC doesn't play one of those afterparties i'll be bummed. past Planet E parties were completely off the hook.

BATTAGS, Friday, 16 March 2007 22:00 (eighteen years ago)

i kinda of doubt that he would be all, 'yknow, this year, i'm just gonna stay at home.'

the table is the table, Friday, 16 March 2007 22:11 (eighteen years ago)

Im pretty sure it costs money. but jesus its so cheap.

i remember rolling up to it and hearing the bass from the highway. yesss. its like a rave carnival.

emma cleveland, Saturday, 17 March 2007 20:15 (eighteen years ago)

The festival would be totally worth it at twice the price. It's not just the acts, either, it's the entire atmosphere. Where/when else (In the USA) can you walk down the street with a Dancemania t-shirt on and get multiple 'hey what's up nice t-shirts' from random strangers. Where else can you see 45 year old office ladies throwing down serious footwork with UR earrings? It's like a good-time gathering of the techno people worldwide to come and pay respects. I love the fest so much.

sous les paves, Saturday, 17 March 2007 21:16 (eighteen years ago)

I WANT ME UR EARRINGS.

the table is the table, Saturday, 17 March 2007 21:56 (eighteen years ago)

sous les paves, that sounds soooo good. i'm there.

the table is the table, Saturday, 17 March 2007 22:05 (eighteen years ago)

really want to go to this somehow...but don't have the money!

Ronan, Saturday, 17 March 2007 22:28 (eighteen years ago)

Mampi Swift featuring MC IC3

Fish out of water?

DJ Godfather

Is this as in "Player Haters.."? Best track in the world, ever.

Iain Macdonald, Monday, 19 March 2007 13:42 (eighteen years ago)

look for a huge SF contingent -- Dirtybird/Kontrol/Diskotronik + more -- at the Shorecrest Motor Inn, about a half mile down Jefferson from Hart Plaza.

we'll be rocking out with the Technoir crew outta Pittsburgh....

some of our boys are playing -- Claude Von Stroke is on the bill...

can't wait can't wait can't wait. it'll be my 6th year at the festival (i missed 2005)....W00T!

BATTAGS, Monday, 19 March 2007 21:22 (eighteen years ago)

Meanwhile, in everyday life in Detroit

What a fascinating/depressing/completely inspiring city. We love you Detroit.

matt2, Tuesday, 20 March 2007 20:16 (eighteen years ago)

three weeks pass...
My tickets arrived yesterday!!!

lou, Thursday, 12 April 2007 21:57 (eighteen years ago)

two weeks pass...
it looks like heartthrob is going to be playing an afterparty this year. he's listed in detroit on the minus page.

i think im going to buy a small house downtown instead of getting a hotel room this time. it should pay off in 2-3 years.

faso, Tuesday, 1 May 2007 03:16 (eighteen years ago)

also a schedule of days finally went up.

the table is the table, Tuesday, 1 May 2007 03:54 (eighteen years ago)

schedule where? I want to buy Tigers tickets to catch a game while I'm in town but I'm afraid of missing something at the fest I really wanna see.

sous les paves, Tuesday, 1 May 2007 04:52 (eighteen years ago)

it is up on the demf website. not a 'schedule,' but at least what day people are performing on.

also, this is awesome:

Soul Skate
Line-up /
Kenny Dixon Jr [Moodyman]

This is a roller skating party! Bring your own skates or be prepared to rent them. Also, there will be free soul food while it lasts.

the table is the table, Sunday, 6 May 2007 19:48 (eighteen years ago)

the table is the table, Sunday, 13 May 2007 01:49 (eighteen years ago)

my problem is that i would like to be there on saturday and monday. only baby ford & zip really hold my interest on sunday. what to do?

the table is the table, Sunday, 13 May 2007 01:50 (eighteen years ago)

If their records are any indication, I would imagine Abe Duque and Blake Baxter would be pretty dope.

Display Name, Sunday, 13 May 2007 02:00 (eighteen years ago)

i would start with baby ford & zip, do the boratto or duque/baxter thing for a bit, catch the beginning of mayer's set, run over to see mathew jonson for a bit, and end the night with model 500.

Jena, Sunday, 13 May 2007 02:04 (eighteen years ago)

I live down the street.

filthy dylan, Sunday, 13 May 2007 06:04 (eighteen years ago)

baby ford, baxter, monolake, model 500.

hmmmm. yeah.
