So, so good. Any info on the band Siege?

What is Pushead doing these days?

yes, he did. St. Anger is awful, but back in the day ... Septic Death was the SHIT. you know it!

Cameron Octigan, Monday, 19 March 2007 07:40 (eighteen years ago)

yeah. wish the septic death stuff was more widely available. like, at all. other than the attention cd, which is great.

$3??? Bargain. Did your copy have bonus 12"? Mine has all the inserts but is missing the 12" :(

Talking of Pushead-related stuff, someone needs to repress the Christ On Parade compilation (Insanity is a Sane Reaction) NOW.

I read an article recently about mixtape culture which mentioned a Siege demo as being a classic example of something dubbed all round the world. Writer was actually quite disappointed in the sound of a 1st gen copy. Good to see and hear them.

Soukesian, Monday, 19 March 2007 19:04 (eighteen years ago)

the 12"? no ... but i heard that it only came with mail order copies, and not the store bought ones. i don't know.

mine has no inserts either, but still ... $3 for a classic comp in good condition is fine with me.

SIEGE! true. definitely bad ass. never heard the stuff with the dude from Anal Cunt. did they record then?

Oh yeah, I remember loving that "pang" noise that the snare drum makes on Septic Death's "Terrorrain". I had that LP in high school, killer stuff.

Scott, thanks for posting the links to those live Siege videos. Not only do they rock like bastards, but damn they're hawt too.

i love the dys stuff on youtube too (45th generation vhs style):

though they were straight up edged up bosstown wolf pack krew stuff. siege weren't really a part of that scene.

scott seward, Tuesday, 20 March 2007 03:45 (eighteen years ago)

DYS rocked. Most of those Boston straight edge bands did back then, I'm not straight edge at all (that scene didn't really make it over here) but I love most of those old bands. I even like Youth Of Today.

My copy of Cleanse The Bacteria was a mail order copy I guess, the inserts say something like "well done you've got the limited edition bonus version" and there's some extras like a sticker or something, but no 12". I paid £10 for it which I thought was a reasonable price, but $3, damn. You'd think Amoeba would have been clued up enough to know it's worth more than that! Mind you I bought an Opal LP in the LA Amoeba for $1.99, so who knows.

i was always very drunk at straightedge shows in the 80's. nobody seemed to mind.

i can't stop watching this 1981 necros footage:
