I don't know off hand, but I would guess an mpc60.

Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis have at various times used an mpc60, a Linn 9000, an Oberheim DX and an 808.

Those two songs obviously don't feature a lot of 808 sounds, so I guess it would have be to be something in the Linn family (either the 9000 or the mpc60, which was also Roger Linn's brainchild)
