No thread about this brilliant Swedish 60s pop band yet, it seems.

Tages may have been unknowns outside Scandinavia in the 60s, but in retrospect, they have been discovered by lots of people, because... well... frankly because they were good. Musically, they were doing the same song-oriented quality pop as a lot of their British contemporaries, only they did it better than most.

Tages provided such great songs as "Miss Mac Baren", "So Many Girls", "There's a Blind Man Playing Fiddle On The Street" and "Every Raindrops Means a Lot", pop songs so great and melodically strong that hardly anyone but The Beatles could top them at their best.

Yeah, they're good. I don't know about the second best band after the Beatles bit, but they're a sweet Who/Kinks knock off. Def. one of the non-British /European rock acts from the 60s (along with the Outsiders.)

Dud except for chorus on Every Raindrop Means a Lot.
