this record is now 50 dollars....

I hope there are other places on the net where you can purchase it.

I need to replace my old one. I am collecting their records. They are exquisite.

Five Stars.
I haven't reviewed them on Amazon, but I would give them a five star review.

Premiere is an excellent record...Kornog IV which is on the net in different place with clips...
and their new record Korong which is another excellent record. All deserving of a 5 star rating.

marissa, Tuesday, 27 March 2007 23:33 (eighteen years ago)

why is it that people don't seem to be opened to new things and just the same names or commerical people?

Is there something wrong with music that isn't commerical?

Is it to be scorned?

marissa, Tuesday, 27 March 2007 23:51 (eighteen years ago)

you didn't even give me a chance to check them out before you scolded me :(

modestmickey, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 01:24 (eighteen years ago)

hah haha

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 01:27 (eighteen years ago)

marissa, do you have a link for clips of this on the web? i want to hear.

modestmickey, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 01:43 (eighteen years ago)

http://www.amazon.com/Ar-Seizh-Avel-Seven-Winds/dp/B000005CMU

there is also the album Premiere which is a little more popular ....it is on Amazon.com

Punch in the words.."Kornog Amazon.com

but the first link that I posted here will take you to their purple record.

Then if you punch in the words,"Kornog"
when you use Google, you shall find the clips that are very high quality of the Kornog IV album.
This album is great. When Kornog had their site ..they had more clips of this record. I really want Kornog IV...

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 01:47 (eighteen years ago)

This is superb and very high quality Breton music from Brittany in France.

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 01:49 (eighteen years ago)

This sounds pretty good, and it's on emusic:

http://www.emusic.com/album/11013/11013380.html

I believe I'll download it.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:17 (eighteen years ago)

What is this like?

Drooone, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:19 (eighteen years ago)

This is good! It's like prog celtic.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:23 (eighteen years ago)

Marissa, what are some other records you're into?

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:24 (eighteen years ago)

=) marissa's back!

Surmounter, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:26 (eighteen years ago)

She BEEN back

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:27 (eighteen years ago)

This does look like my kiiiiinda musaac.

Drooone, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:28 (eighteen years ago)

I will tell you when I have some more free time.
I will have to think about what a good one will be.

I like their sound. Kornog has this haunting, dark sound...
and his voice is cool.

It is not like Irish celtic music.

It is Breton music and very middle ages..very renaissance

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:28 (eighteen years ago)

Hmm...

[i]The newest member of Kornog, Nicolas Quemener (guitar, flutes, vocals) has replaced original member Soig Siberil in the revived band.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:35 (eighteen years ago)

anyone buy music here, or you just download everythinG? I try to buy music and support artists when I can.

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:37 (eighteen years ago)

Downloading from emusic = buying music. I don't download anything free.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:37 (eighteen years ago)

Marissa, are you a fan of Richard Thompson/Fairport Convention/Pentangle etc.? Cuz I could see this record appealing to a lot of the same people that dig them.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:39 (eighteen years ago)

He is a nice man...
Nicolas invited me to meet him in Chicago for their festival.
Nicolas is occasionally very nice....when he has time, which is not often.
but very busy in France.
As I am here in the USA.

He has written me enough for me to consider him a friend...and phone me..we are not best buddies.

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:39 (eighteen years ago)

Marissa, are you a fan of Richard Thompson/Fairport Convention/Pentangle etc.?

don't know much about these people at all...

I prefer European folk music...

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:41 (eighteen years ago)

Well yes, so do Richard Thompson, Fairport Convention and Pentangle. I mean they're British folk revival.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:42 (eighteen years ago)

o.k ...I heard richard thomspon...won't comment...

I will have to listen to the others..I think I HAVE heard of pentangle.

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:43 (eighteen years ago)

What Richard Thompson did you hear? He's had a pretty long and varied career.

Anyway, look for Pentangle's Basket of Light, also maybe Bert Jansch's Rosemary Lane or Moonshine. For the latter you have to be willing to put up with a singing voice that is not traditionally pretty, but he's an amazing guitarist.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:49 (eighteen years ago)

You may find Fairport Convention too pop-leaning. Richard & Linda Thompson - I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight is a great album but you may also find that too pop-rock leaning if you're a folk purist. Still, you're missing out on some great songwriting if that's the case.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 02:52 (eighteen years ago)

i do like that album - i've only heard it a couple of times, but it sounded great.

Surmounter, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:10 (eighteen years ago)

I get a little fussy when I am looking for folk music.
I don't like typical folk music.

..or not that much....

I listened to richard t. once and i don't think it was my taste.... I like Latin folk....
and I don't just like all folk music even if it is from Europe. It just depends.

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:23 (eighteen years ago)

i listened to richard t with same reaction once, but then i heard richard and LINDA t, and i had a different reaction.

Surmounter, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:25 (eighteen years ago)

I like Brazilian folk and alot of Latin folk music...And definately music from the Mediterranean...French Art songs...and Italian music from the middle ages...

French folk music...
I am not particularly turned on my English folk music as much...even though it is heavily promoted in the US an UK.

I studied Bel Canto singing and sing in numbers of languages...
I became very interested in Mediterranean music for this reason.
I studied it and worked on it for years and some German music, but I preferred Spanish, French and Italian.
I also like folk music from Isreal.
I like some Middle eastern music.

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:29 (eighteen years ago)

Well maybe i will listen to richard and linda..but I won't comment if i dont' like it..ahahha

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:29 (eighteen years ago)

heh

Surmounter, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:32 (eighteen years ago)

I love some bulgarian music...

depends.

I have an encyclopedia of music listing the most interesting folk instruments from around the world. It is fascinating.

Our country is not promoting that much music...outside of uk and usa.

My new music is very influenced from the Mediterranean areas of the world.

Latin, French....

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:33 (eighteen years ago)

I am not particularly turned on my English folk music as much...even though it is heavily promoted in the US an UK.

It's popular, Marissa doesn't like it. Surprise.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:34 (eighteen years ago)

bendaly family - do you love me? kuwait, 1978

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7F40MVG0Wc

not too much information about them online at all, I'm this close to starting a thread. I've already dubbed a lineout mp3 from this crispy youtube feed just for the ipod.

Milton Parker, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:36 (eighteen years ago)

Yes, the UK and the USA is always saying that English people are popular, rich and important and that everyone else from other cultures are not important, less talented and less significant.

So is the USA and UK the most popular of countries?

If so.....
should we all worship these countries...and bow down and never explore the rest of the "unpopular and less affluent world?"

Is being unpopular the same thing as being less affluent?
Deep questions??? ahahh

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:38 (eighteen years ago)

I dunno, I never really thought of British balladry as the music of the affluent.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:39 (eighteen years ago)

Milton, did you mean to put that on another thread? It's awesome nonetheless.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:40 (eighteen years ago)

i like american and english music cuz it's most familiar to me, i think. that's my reason.

Surmounter, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:41 (eighteen years ago)

Well, it is more popular in the US...and UK...not because it is better..but because the people are into their culture and not into other cultures.

They choose to follow English culture.
Because we live in the usa...that doesn't mean we have to follow English culture because this is supposed to be a melting pot....

But if you haven't noticed that the most popular musicians are often with English names....

I guess we are not a melting pot....

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:42 (eighteen years ago)

people like what they know.

Surmounter, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:43 (eighteen years ago)

What is that link Milton?

Most people are familar with their culture and their surroundings ..that makes sense.
Yet if you have a curious mind...you may want to travel into other cultures and become familar with the outside of this little world we have here.

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:44 (eighteen years ago)

WAHT ABOUT BRITTANY SPEARS haha

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:44 (eighteen years ago)

yes. but it's easier to go on liking what is most accessible.

Surmounter, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:45 (eighteen years ago)

People can know whatever they want..

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:45 (eighteen years ago)

whaaaat. it's britney.

Surmounter, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:45 (eighteen years ago)

they choose to know what they already know something about. i like the sound of french disco but i don't listen to it that much cuz i don't know enOUGH french to feel comfortable listening to it.

Surmounter, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:46 (eighteen years ago)

With the net, everything is accessable...and anyone can become highly educated about music if they so choose...

The net is worldwide...

you can travel anywhere....

Britney spears is an English name...

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:47 (eighteen years ago)

u use a lot of periods.

not as accessible as the CDs at Target, in your face when you're buying your counter spray.

Surmounter, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 03:48 (eighteen years ago)

do you prefer people who are five foot one and not really playing on a high level?

they do...

I don't have dates because men prefer women who are not talented, smart or very tall or pretty...
that is factual...

Men feel more comfortable with ordinary women...that is a fact...in business or romantic relationships....

It is called insecurities.

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 04:22 (eighteen years ago)

Every single man that I have loved dumped me for a woman with no special talents...and no special looks....

This was not out of spite for Norah Jones and people like her..
I have been in intense emotional pain, mostly because of my crappy love life...
Everyone man I have loved and wanted....
gave me prank calls...and couldn't talk to me...

if you read the Bill Shakespeare poetry, the guy keeps saying that he is weak, afraid...and not comfortable with being opened with me..and ends up saying that he is married..

I make a bet he is not afraid of his wife who doesn't intimidate him...

this is a painful part of my life....

You know why....people shouldn't reject people because they are tall, talented, and pretty....

they should reject them because they are not nice..

I am a very nice person.

It hurts....

Unlike what they want to say, people who are tall, talented and pretty are not really popular for some odd reason.

...even if they are nice people ....and work hard.

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 04:32 (eighteen years ago)

Goddammit Ramzi...
Nevermind that Marissa, I was enjoying reading your posts about the music you like. Norah Jones is irrelevant.

marmotwolof, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 04:40 (eighteen years ago)

I am not in intense that Norah is signed..and I am not...
you know when you transfer emotions onto something else???

I admit I wrote this...but the real pain that caused me to write this...is another rejection from a man who was giving me prank calls....

I had so many prank call for so many years from men that i loved...who were so scared of me and the shaking faces and the dropping of money on the floor and trembling hands....

that I felt that I was getting sick.....

Imagine what it would it be like if everyone that you loved gave you prank calls instead of loving you or asking you out?

or driving passed your house....staring in your window..but could never ask you out...and they ended up with a more ordinary woman...

This has been an extremely painful part of my life.

I love music...but you are bringing up the pain again...

You brought it up and I was crying today....because the pain is intense...

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 04:46 (eighteen years ago)

OTM

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 04:47 (eighteen years ago)

(uh, xpost)

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 04:52 (eighteen years ago)

"How come I'm not signed" is like the most ridiculous question a musician can possibly ask.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 04:53 (eighteen years ago)

Honestly Marissa, what is it you want? I've heard your music and seen your pictures, I think you're talented and pretty, sure, but there are lots of talented pretty people. You seem to want to believe you're some sort of singular phenomenon, and your whole schtick revolves around painting yourself into that corner - "I'm so special that no one will let me succeed." If you only want to like continental European folk music, fine, but don't go complaining about how your folk-influenced music doesn't hit the Billboard Hot 100, because that's just not what hits the Billboard 100. That's the world you live in - face it.

Meanwhile, today's music world is full of niches for pretty much any style. Why don't you put yourself out there more instead of making up all kinds of rationalizations about how the world is upside down and everything that achieves any success is crap.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:03 (eighteen years ago)

uh ex post..what is that?

I never ask why I am not signed...

i think mostly about why I receive all these anonyous leteres, and prank calls.

I told you that this was tranference...do you understand that term..

I have been in intense over my love life and transferring it on to things that are in the business world...
but I don't agonize over why I am not signed...I agonize about my love life.

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:05 (eighteen years ago)

Sure, I know what transference is.

I'm sorry you're having difficulties, but I don't really buy the line that men only like ordinary women. There are all kinds of men who like all kinds of women.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:06 (eighteen years ago)

there are not alot of people who are very talented....

and gifted..that is a fact....

and I am not just pretty....
I am a beautiful woman in person...

and men are extremely intimidated by me....

there isn't alot of people like me around...yet they are around....

There are very few people like me around...or I would see them on the net and so forth....

so that is a lie....

Joachin dumped me because he is not that astounding looking and not that talented....and found himself someone who is more like himself....
plain....

that is a fact....

If there are alot of tall and beautiful and gifted people out there, how come there are none in the music industry?

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:07 (eighteen years ago)

Well I don't profess to know the heights of most women in the music industry. I thought Norah Jones was unusually short.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:09 (eighteen years ago)

Yes, but out society is filled with strong men these days...

most men that I meet in every walk of life is drug or alcohol addicted....

and very insecure....

I know some men are strong...not many.....

I liked Nicolas cause he is very gifted....
and maybe not that gorgeous or creative...but gifted..and cute..but he was wondering why I don't want a taller man...

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:10 (eighteen years ago)

I know their heights...most of them are five two up to about five foot five...
five six is basically not that common...
the most common height for a woman in the biz..is about five two..endless amounts of them are not tall...the lilith fair ...it was really funny....all the women were standing their ....NOt ONE of them was over five foot four.....

isn't that strange....

?
And none of them were very pretty...or that talented.....

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:12 (eighteen years ago)

Maybe you're looking for something too perfect?

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:13 (eighteen years ago)

No...nicolas is cute..and I like people who are not perfect..I am not perfect...
I accept imperfections...

Yet one thing I dislike in a man is extreme weakness....
addictions and major insecurities...

the biggest turn off is an insecure man..
Nicolas is a bit more secure..but not totally.
He is sure of his talents and he is very talented...
And I think he is better then average looking..and could look great if he took better care of himself..he is very good looking..not that creative..but a great musician..

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:16 (eighteen years ago)

Movie actors tend to be shorter than you'd think. I think there are technical reasons for that, or at least there used to be. I don't know what the advantage of a short singer would be.

marmotwolof, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:16 (eighteen years ago)

I used to look for something that seemed too perfect...but right now, I see my own imperfections and realize that you have to be tolerant.

however, I will not tolerate prank calls, extreme weakness...
addictions etc.....

I don't want to be with a fat man who is always drinking and sitting in front of a t.v....

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:20 (eighteen years ago)

It's going to be fun a year from now when some unsuspecting poster searches to see if there's a Kornog thread.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:20 (eighteen years ago)

should I tolerate a big drinker and drug addict who sits in front of the t.v....fat and sweaty?..and bald....how tolerant should I become.???

is this accepting imperfections?

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:22 (eighteen years ago)

maybe not all of those things at once

marmotwolof, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:24 (eighteen years ago)

should I tolerate a big drinker and drug addict who sits in front of the t.v....fat and sweaty?..and bald....how tolerant should I become.???

is this accepting imperfections?

No, of course not. But you should go find someone else, and if you keep finding people like that you might want to ask yourself what it is that keeps drawing you to people like that in the first place.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:25 (eighteen years ago)

I like Nicolas's silk shirts...

He loves silk shirts that are very beautiful at times...I like alot of things about him...yet I suspect he is not as tall as I am....
could I tolerate a man who is five six if I am five eight and a half?

perhaps....

he is very cute...yet I suspect he drinks a little too much wine...

and still smokes...

I don't smoke..so that would be hard to deal with....
I love his language though....
and his music....
and his voice....
he is a nice man...

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:26 (eighteen years ago)

No, I was just kidding..I am not drawn to fat and sweaty men who are bald ...who sit in front of the t.v.....

ahahhahah

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:27 (eighteen years ago)

he could be five seven..he refuses to mention his height.

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:28 (eighteen years ago)

Right, but the point is if you have problems in your love life the only things you can do are

1) Keep trying
and
2) Examine the patterns that seem to be causing you problems and see if you can break them

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:29 (eighteen years ago)

And it's no more use complaining to the internet about your love life than it is about not being signed.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:29 (eighteen years ago)

yes, but there is a pattern in our society....

the masses want to deal with the ordinary and keep everything basically bland...

Men want to wear T shirts...

they don't want anything too exciting...

that is why I like this frenchman...nice crimson silk shirts and blue silk shirts....

and men in this country seem so bland right now...
I also prefer men with long hair....
nico has long hair....

At least Nicolas hasn't been mean to me....

he has been quite nice and frequently complimentary...

I like him...
I can't say that I love him...but I see things in him that I like...

I was doing well wtih him for awhile...but now he is very busy...
Our culture is on the bland side...the french are a little more interesting..

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:33 (eighteen years ago)

Nicolas is creative...I shouldn't have said that....I know he arranges music and even writes it..
I don't know everything about him...I should not have speculated....

he is a very gifted man...and not very insecure in comparison to other men....
He is a bit shy though....

but listen to Kornog 's music...better to listen to their music then to listen to my love life....

ahahahhaha,
Whatever has happened is meant to be....
so no use in complaining about what is not meant to be....

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:53 (eighteen years ago)

O. K.

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 05:57 (eighteen years ago)

I never said I am the only one of my kind...
you put words in my mouth....

Nicolas said that I was a beautiful woman on the phone and through email.....

and he said that next time he was in the usa he would make plans ahead of time to meet me....

that is o.k....
not sure what will happen..but not overly anxious about it...
He should take better care of himself...i suggested..since I think he is beautiful too....they took off some good photos of him...

He is really interesting looking...

He is a Virgo...very practical..I am a Libra cusp of Scorpio...less practical....

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 06:08 (eighteen years ago)

Will this ever end with people looking for some thread about norah jones and then getting me uncomfortable..I was uncomfortable with that thread...and I am not comfortable calling myself beautiful....

Not many beautiful people around...or men...

pretty yes..beautiful no....

no many beautiful men....

it is a curse....
not a blessing....

but for a man who loves beauty like nicolas...it may not be a curse for me to be beautiful....

they love their lanuage which is beautiful...they like beautiful clothes more then americans.
.,..some of them love beautiful music....
I think the french history is somewhat less bland.
..their food is beautiful and less bland...He may not like my language and I get that impression.....I don't blame him.

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 06:14 (eighteen years ago)

Will this ever end with people looking for some thread about norah jones and then getting me uncomfortable

I don't think Surmounter meant to upset you. If it's any consolation, I don't think he's aware of the whole story behind that.

marmotwolof, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 06:24 (eighteen years ago)

can we go back to talking about KORNOG?

modestmickey, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 10:52 (eighteen years ago)

KORNDOG!

Hurting 2, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 13:49 (eighteen years ago)

sorry guys! and sorry marissa, i seriously didn't mean to upset you. i think you have some good things to say and i hate upsetting anyone. please disregard my post and let's try and talk music again.

Surmounter, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 14:50 (eighteen years ago)

Yes, i love music and please want to leave the past behind me....

I don't care about people's looks...i like to talk about talented people...not people's looks....

When I first heard Kornog, it was Laride andro....
from PRemiere.
I loved the arrangement. Ther e is something very exceptional about their music. I think it is Jamie's arrangements....(he is a bouzouki player) He is a very talented person....
And the arrangements are truly haunting.....
Their music stood out to me..amoung some other celtic musicians and folk artists...

I tend to love that dark and haunting sound....as opposed to that light sound of some celtic music....
Some of their music is very moody and I enjoy the choice of material that they pick....

For celtic music...i haven't found a band that I like as much yet....but I am still looking.

Please stop talking about two or three years ago...or my old posts...it makes me uncomfortable....
I am not going on the net now talking like this about myself...

so the past is in the past....
I wish I never wrote this...

I also like the choice of artwork that they pick for their albums..well...two of them...
They are very under-rated, yet I am very happy they are still getting to play .....
Their popularity faded a bit ...and now I suppose that our culture is changing and becoming more commericalized and people like this are not being supported as much....I don't know...

they used to tour the us and europe all the time...now they are not touring as much...I am not sure why....their last record was great......

Nicolas has helped me feel better about men since that thing was written...
Not all men are weak...or idiots...

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 15:10 (eighteen years ago)

I think they all have input into the arrangements, but Jamie may be the band leader.

They are all equally as talented I think...

marissa, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 15:40 (eighteen years ago)

the band *solas*, they live in philly i think (or at least they did when i lived there), are pretty good as far as straight-up irish folk stuff goes (but different from the breton/celtic stuff that kornog plays). they play live a lot on the east coast and are worth seeing.

http://www.dararecords.com/irish_music_store/info/images/solas_solas_160.jpg

scott seward, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 15:49 (eighteen years ago)

I am not into Solas as much....

Though I think some of their music is good...They don't thrill me as much as Kornog....

Not my type of band....

I love the band named, "Black Velvet," on Nada records.
Nada records is a record company that is based in Israel. They promote Bustan Abraham which is an absolutely fantastic Middle eastern band.

Since we are from the USA, we often do not get the exposure to these bands.

Black Velvet mixes all kind of celtic music together..and some balkan and Israeli music.
I really like them alot.
I think they are another very high quality celtic band. Nada records puts out some very excellent world music.

I try to look beyond what the US and UK is promoting which is usually Americans, and usually people from the British isles.

I heard them I think, but I can't comment, since I didn't hear enough.

I have been listening to alot of Koto music....

I love Koto and this music is more popular on the west coast, Seattle and Vancouver, since there is a high population of Asians.

if you look on cd baby you will find them...I don;'t like the some of the tracks..

I am not a big Irish music fan...though I like some of it.
(I think I like Scottish influence better)
I am a very big Breton music fan....
and I love middle eastern music such as Bustan Abraham...zirab trio....

I don't prefer Black Velvet to Kornog...though they have a few good tracks that I think are very high quality...not the first ones...on cd baby...

Yet I am still searching the net for more obscure bands and people.

I wanted to reply to Hurting 2
...I don't fit into the commerical world right now, and that doesn't bother me.
And I also write all sorts of music ....also rock..but own no electric guitar right now...

But I prefer acoustic music to rock..and electronic music....
even though I like some rock and electronic music.

Our culture is bothering me...not questioning why I am not signed. I am questioning whether I want to live in this country with our culture that centers around music that I don't like.

..especially since I don't love Irish folk music, American folk music...and country.....
It is a bit more difficult to live in a country where you don't really like their music....

I like some blues and definately some progressive Jazz.
So this country is not a total waste.

marissa, there's a really great Hungarian musician named Speak that you should check out. He's best known for his protest song, which you can see here
