Help! I'm "DJing" a Wedding

I'll spare you the details, you can spare me the lectures about how crap MP3s are. I know, guys. But I've been aksed to make the CDs for a wedding reception. I just need a program that will equalize the volumes and fade the tracks in and out of each other, then burn the resulting mess. I figure I could do it with Audacity but it'd be a bit ball-achey and I'd end up with a huuuuuuuge single track.

Anybody know of another freeware/shareware program that would help me do this?

I'm kind of working to a list I've been given, but I get a bit of creative leeway. I never thought of itunes, when we had it in the past I just thought it was a pain in the arse and got rid of it.

play "Sweet Little Mystery" by John Martyn...melody-wise, it's a delightfully sappy smidge of MOR, but the lyrics speak of a bitter break-up...see if anybody catches on...

Play In Sickness and in Health by Chas n Dave.

It's relevant, it's not Band of Gold, and it gets everyone from 30 up on the floor.
Anybody under 30 (or not British) might be a bit confused mind....

The CD needs "White Wedding by Billy Idol and "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" by Panic! At the Disco. That should annoy everybody equally.

I was thinking about "I Write Sins" last night. Then I remembered the lyrics.
