I blew a flooze.

Some people are purists, and I am sometimes. But I tend to love Fusion.

I'd never have placed you as a jazz/funk person!

No, but I am a jazz/classical/celtic/blues/latin/french/folk/rock/alternative/world music musician...

Though I have written R and B...

Miroslav Vituous' "Infinite Search" is a neat little avant gardey jazz fusion record. Some tracks have a folksy vibe, you might like it.

Everyone should listen to Miles Davis's On The Corner as soon as they get out of bed in the morning, every day.

thx all

On The Corner is indeed fantastic, but Bitches' Brew and In a Silent Way are also fine Miles fusion.

Let's not forget A Tribute to Jack Johnson while we're at it.

Mahavishnu Orchestra
Donald Byrd/Blackbyrds
Any of that miles stuff.

I dunno if Last Exit can be considered "Fusion", but any of their records ought be near the top of any fusion-lover's list.

libcrypt, Saturday, 31 March 2007 02:40 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, I was just about to ask if Sonny Sharrock counts. Is Ask the Ages considered fusion or something else? Another vote for [i]Bitches Brew[i] and Mahavishnu as well.

Bird of Fire of course.
