TS: Looney Tunes theme vs Merrie Melodies theme

Those little adapted instrumentals of "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down" and "Merrily We Roll Along".

The Merrie Melodies theme has a good flowing energy to it, but the kick ass herky-jerky bit of the Looney Tunes theme wins it for me.

Also S/D vocal versions of these, scores to individual LT/MM cartoons, songs from them, etc.

nine months pass...

Surprised I didn't see this thread, way-back. Also surprising that the themes appear to have been mismatched: A "Merry"/"Merrie" matchup would have been more logical. But we're talking CARTOONS, so screw logic! Both these themes are just fine, but "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down" ("Looney Tunes" theme, that is) strikes me as just a bit more whimsical, especially the original '30s arrangement with the little steam-organ/cuckoo clock bit. That's my choice. Incidentally, when the animation studio began production in the early '30s, the "Looney Tunes" banner was reserved specifically for the 'toons with songs and musical numbers, "Merrie Melodies" for the remainder. By decade's end they were basically interchangeable.
