MA governor Deval Patrick's father was in the Arkestra

This article surprised me! Didn't know it at the time of course, but I caught his father with Sun Ra in '90, shortly before he died. One of the best shows I've ever seen.

I was all ready to drop "Cool dad has shitty kid shockah" zing. But papa wasn't around, and son grew up to support same-sex marriage and oppose the death penalty. So he's definitely cooler than Arkestra dude in my book.
