RFI: Reggae Song

I heard a song the other day and it's stuck in my head. It sounds a bit like the song that goes "Good Morning, good morning, gee it's nice to stay up late, good morning, good morning to you" - but in a slower, more rocksteady style with a Horace Andy/Desmond Dekker soprano singing something along the lines of a proper name where the initial "good morning" should be. The proper name ends in a "y" like "Rudy" so if that was the name then it would be "Rudy - RUDY!" but that's as much as I can remember. No idea where I heard it or how the rest of the song goes but it's driving me up the drain.

six months pass...

This isn't a man, and it isn't strictly reggae, but could it possibly be Nazare Pereira - "Good Morning to You"?

Maybe Vybz Kartel - "Good Morning Mr. Buddy"? Doesn't really fit some of the description, though.

i worked out it wasn't a reggae song at all that was stuck in my head, it was "Dandy" by the Kinks except I'd transferred a reggae beat onto it. Has this ever been done IRL?

Not to my knowledge. You should try it!

...along with Holiday in Waikiki from that album.

back in the day I heard a reggae song that included the lyric "American girls I eat they pussy"; what song is that?
