So I just listened to Visions of Dune and Some Deaths Take Forever, which are both incredible. I know a little bit about him (Laser Harp, etc) but really want to know everything. Recommend me some stuff.

Reviving this because Some Deaths Take Forever and Superficial Music have been reissued by LTM. Listening to these, they sound like total Milton Parker/moley music to me.

Reviving this rather sparse thread to say that Some Deaths Take Forever is the next best thing to Heldon. Anyone know how Superficial Music measures up?

I used to like him a lot at the time, but last time I listened I wasn't really into it. Still pretty good for the type of thing it is. If I recall correctly, the vocals were more of a stumbling block for me than the instrumental portion.

"Superficial music" is more like dark ambient but still a more than decent album. No songs, just long, abstract sound textures; side two, if I remember well, is particularly suffocating.

Have decided "Visions of Dune" is my favourite - more electronic and less prog elements than "Some Deaths Take Forever"

Hmm, need to hear that.

It was actually released under the name Zed rather than his own name

Also agree that "Superficial Music" isn't that great... I don't like "Brute Reason" all that much either... so I like a grand total of two of his albums!
