I am at work and while I spend all day refreshing ILX and NYTimes.com, I like to listen to music. What's the best free online streaming radio?

pig radio [now playing the cure - a forest]

compared to british radio stations such as 6 music / xfm / virgin radio etc - pig radio is far better [however they still play some NME guitar generic tripe]

last.fm is annoying and has problems here at work. it'll stream a couple songs, stop working, and refuse to work again for 10 minutes. i've been trying to avoid it and just find more straight up WMP streams :(

thanks for the recommendations dudes

eight years pass...

Anyone recommend a good classic rock station?

niels, Monday, 10 August 2015 09:28 (nine years ago)

two months pass...

Radio Paradise has proven to be a fantastic station for my office, very good selection of new and old, classix and more modern stuff, it's mostly mellow but not boring/pandering

(mostly rock)

niels, Friday, 6 November 2015 10:17 (nine years ago)

five years pass...

That website is wild. Every song they play, there's an auto-refreshed, three-paned display of song info, artist info, and a comment page for the song. There's 238 comments for John Lennon's "#9 Dream" wtf? How? Are people writing tributes and arguments about every song as it plays?

Very boring station I won't be playing again but.... how about that.

synthwave: www.synthwave.hu

calstars, Saturday, 20 March 2021 17:06 (four years ago)

adding both to my playlist of stations, thanks!

am interested in the original question here. in another phase of wanting music going all of the time. NTS and Worldwide FM are what I keep going back to mainly.
