Yes. It's ok.

Cheers.

Matthew H, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 12:57 (eighteen years ago)

Succinct!

Jazzbo, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 12:58 (eighteen years ago)

Oh please don't.

it's good, which is the last thing I ever expected to say about a bright eyes album again (I've hated everything after fevers and mirrors, which I thought was excellent at the time)

akm, Tuesday, 10 April 2007 22:22 (eighteen years ago)

what a total snoozer.

Dandy Don Weiner, Wednesday, 11 April 2007 00:11 (eighteen years ago)

I like it. Much better than those 2 that came out a while back.

Brigadier Lethbridge-Pfunkboy, Wednesday, 11 April 2007 00:56 (eighteen years ago)

i've never been a real fan, but i think his melodies are stronger, he doesn't do that quavery voice thing nearly as much and the ratio of nonembarrassing to embarrassing lyrics is much improved. and i like the fiddle. "four winds" is a good single.

tipsy mothra, Wednesday, 11 April 2007 01:01 (eighteen years ago)

It's good, and the album art rules.

Davey D, Wednesday, 11 April 2007 01:09 (eighteen years ago)

Wide Awake had some personal resonance, so I'm assuming I'm not going to like Cass as much by default, but I'm picking it up this week anyway based on the strength of the reviews.

publicist calls bullshit, says dude never knowingly signed anything.

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Thursday, 12 April 2007 00:17 (eighteen years ago)

i'm confused.

M@tt He1ges0n, Thursday, 12 April 2007 00:19 (eighteen years ago)

haha wow it was up 10 minutes ago.

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Thursday, 12 April 2007 00:26 (eighteen years ago)

it was an acoustic purportedly autographed by oberst, though the bright eyes publicist says he never knowingly signed anything. you can still get the rickenbacker rip-off signed by g. love, though!

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Thursday, 12 April 2007 00:27 (eighteen years ago)

We got promotional "Casadega" tote bags and fortune cookies at the store. No joke.

My fortune read "A trusted friend will soon betray you." :(

Fuck off, Oberst.

novaheat, Thursday, 12 April 2007 05:14 (eighteen years ago)

"Four Winds" is not horrible.
