No "Woodface", so I had to vote for "OK Computer" instead.

Geir Hongro, Friday, 13 April 2007 10:51 (eighteen years ago)

'Loveless' will win this as well. So what's the point?

Poll sucks for not having "Stone Crazy" on, though.

Dom Passantino, Friday, 13 April 2007 11:18 (eighteen years ago)

No leftism no credibility

Brigadier Lethbridge-Pfunkboy, Friday, 13 April 2007 11:40 (eighteen years ago)

People who care about Air in 2007 = people who care about Tarantino in 2007

Dom Passantino, Friday, 13 April 2007 11:49 (eighteen years ago)

i thought 'This Is Hardcore' had made this old list but no.

blueski, Friday, 13 April 2007 11:52 (eighteen years ago)

I thought ILM started off as a Manic Street Preachers message board anyway?

Dom Passantino, Friday, 13 April 2007 11:53 (eighteen years ago)

Liquid Swordz, because I am such a fucking corndog.

The Reverend, Friday, 13 April 2007 18:10 (eighteen years ago)

i own a grand total of four of these...

Tim Ellison, Friday, 13 April 2007 18:12 (eighteen years ago)

let me get this straight, we voted in a poll to decide which albums out of a carefully selected group we liked best and now we're going to vote on which albums in this group we liked best

rps, Friday, 13 April 2007 18:38 (eighteen years ago)

A really unimpressive list.

Rockist Scientist, Friday, 13 April 2007 18:43 (eighteen years ago)

Complaining about a list? That's not like ILMers.

kornrulez6969, Friday, 13 April 2007 18:49 (eighteen years ago)

anyway gravediggaz should have won

rps, Friday, 13 April 2007 19:04 (eighteen years ago)

I guess I'll be the lone ILXor to rep for Bee Thousand.

darin, Friday, 13 April 2007 19:35 (eighteen years ago)

that's a pretty ilm circa 2001 list!

strongohulkington, Friday, 13 April 2007 19:41 (eighteen years ago)

i'd like to think a lot of those records wouldn't make the cut these days

Charlie Howard, Saturday, 14 April 2007 07:59 (eighteen years ago)

I'd like to think TLC would come in ahead of Destiny's Child, though I'd settle for ahead of Oasis.

The Reverend, Saturday, 14 April 2007 08:27 (eighteen years ago)

Something's missing in this list but I don't know what.

wesley useche, Saturday, 14 April 2007 08:48 (eighteen years ago)

it should always be Nevermind by Nirvana

CaptainLorax, Saturday, 14 April 2007 08:52 (eighteen years ago)

"Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball, and you join your mother...in death. You don't understand my words, but you must choose. So... come boy, choose life or death..."

an apt personal summary re: my choice b/w liquid swords & loveless.

Eisbaer, Saturday, 14 April 2007 10:41 (eighteen years ago)

and where's souvlaki or pygmalion on this bitch, huh?!?

Eisbaer, Saturday, 14 April 2007 10:51 (eighteen years ago)

Tough choice between Aquemini and Gravediggaz.

Tuomas, Saturday, 14 April 2007 11:28 (eighteen years ago)

Something's missing in this list but I don't know what.

JULIAN COPE: Peggy Suicide

EZ Snappin, Saturday, 14 April 2007 15:28 (eighteen years ago)

The NAS album has to be the most over-rated albums in history.
I don't hate it, but it's just so average. I mean the first Naughty By Nature album, which never makes these lists, just towers over Illmatic.

nicky lo-fi, Saturday, 14 April 2007 15:41 (eighteen years ago)

i own a grand total of four of these...

-- Tim Ellison, Friday, April 13, 2007 11:12 AM (Yesterday)

me too.

gershy, Saturday, 14 April 2007 15:52 (eighteen years ago)

that's a pretty ilm circa 2001 list!

I was gonna say.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 14 April 2007 16:00 (eighteen years ago)

Something's missing in this list but I don't know what.

Yeah I kinda feel that way, too...hard to put a finger on.

I'm trying to figure out if I should vote for the one I play the most now, or the one I really think is "the best".

Bimble, Saturday, 14 April 2007 16:01 (eighteen years ago)

The list has no proper techno, house or drum'n'bass records. Of course these aren't exactly the most album-oriented genres, but I don't remember them doing that well in the singles poll either.

Tuomas, Saturday, 14 April 2007 16:23 (eighteen years ago)

Oh yes, all of the twenty+ dahnce albums are false dahnce. You really should complain.

The Reverend, Saturday, 14 April 2007 23:04 (eighteen years ago)

Of course they're dance, but they're not house, techno or d'n'b. It's merely an observation.

Tuomas, Saturday, 14 April 2007 23:13 (eighteen years ago)

97: OMNI TRIO The Deepest Cut Vol. 1 (223 points, 14 votes) ?

acrobat, Sunday, 15 April 2007 00:01 (eighteen years ago)

Okay I give up. It's Orbital's Brown Album (Orbital 2). It just came to me that was the answer. I was lost before and now I'm found. If I'd tried to arrive at that by thinking about it I would never have been able to decide, but instead it just came to me. And I knew it was truth.

The sad thing is I *so* wanted to vote for Massive Attack. Damn, can we do this next year?

Bimble, Sunday, 15 April 2007 03:54 (eighteen years ago)

Hole: Live Through This
PJ Harvey: Rid of Me

you all missed the best ones

daria-g, Sunday, 15 April 2007 04:24 (eighteen years ago)

Holy shit! You're right! I thought Rid of Me was in this bitch!? But it was Dry wasn't it? I was fooled! I want my money back! (not that I paid any)

Bimble, Sunday, 15 April 2007 05:08 (eighteen years ago)

That's what was missing, that.

Bimble, Sunday, 15 April 2007 05:09 (eighteen years ago)

SEAMONSTERS

like...duh

stephen, Sunday, 15 April 2007 05:43 (eighteen years ago)

Well...umm...that one too...um....*guilty*

See I told you I can't decide! Um...

Bimble, Sunday, 15 April 2007 06:10 (eighteen years ago)

One thing about these polls is that people forget about them once they've voted and only weirdos like me will dredge it up to share the results with everyone. Really, this should be the responsibility of the pollstarter.

Also, does anyone actually still dig up OK Computer and listen to it? I can't imagine it.

danzig, Monday, 23 April 2007 03:57 (eighteen years ago)

ok computer is earning a well earned rest. i'm sure i'll pull it out in a couple of years and fall in love with it all over again. but it's simply the best record on that list. with cr, cr up there pretty close

Charlie Howard, Monday, 23 April 2007 06:12 (eighteen years ago)

oh ilm you are so so fucking lame
