Side question - is there any other instrumental collaborative duo that gets this much milage? I really liked it when Joe Lovano and John Scofield were playing together a lot, but they don't seem in my mind to reach the same heights and Don and Bill.

Well yeah, but the real reason it doesn't fit this thread so good is no Frisell on it. "Roughly current" I'm using to mean "since I started buying jazz records" which translates to about 17 years.
