Man, how good is the Kate Bush song on this soundtrack?? I'll tell you how good. REAL good, jack. REAL good.

P.S. **whispers** Buy some Kate Bush albums. This song is on Sensual World, not one of her better albums, but...get acclimated. Kate fans are legion and we generally plan on taking over the world.

I own this, haven't listened to it in years. Has a unique version of XTC's "Happy Families" and a Dr. Calculus (aka Stephen Duffy) track from an album that deserves to get a proper CD release.

Oh man Bimble, you don't hafta tell me about Kate Bush, I'm a fan for sure. I don't own Sensual World because I came to Kate quite late and, as you say, it isn't one of her best loved albums by any stretch, so I always avoided it because of all I've read. But yeah, I consider myself a hiuge fan of the few albums I do have and always planned on buying them all one day. I have The Dreaming and The Whole Story compilation in the iPod and that usually does the trick.

Yes I know...the XTC...I read about that recently. I don't recall that song making much of an impression when I owned the soundtrack.

Yeah don't listen to her. In fact, banish her from the house. You've either got House of Love or Aerial or Dreaming or you'll just have to resign yourself to not being a true Kate Bush fan. Hahah. Just kidding.

i just couldn't get into the movie, or the soundtrack, based on the title of the movie alone. i was college age when this came out, and the mere thought of my girlfriend having a baby (or anyone within earshot of my apartment for that matter) gave me the heebie jeebies.

i recall begrudgingly liking some of the songs on it when i heard the ost cd though.

just saw this movie for the first time last week and the music didn't really grab me aside from the entertainment value of the wonky Stewart Copeland score and of course "This Woman's Work," which I'd previously known mainly by the Maxwell version.

Gene Loves Jezebel's "Desire" was put to good use in the film, but didn't make the soundtrack.

I saw it last week sometime too, for the first time in many years, and I was surprised at how much dialogue I remembered. Also by how absolutely adorable Elizabeth McGovern was.
