"Talahassee Lassie" Tommy Steele.

The solo is a wonder to behold.

Either You Really Got Me, or All The Day & All the Night which has a solo with a few duff notes in it. Can't remember which.

One of Zappa's best studio solos, "Sleep Dirt," breaks down when the 2nd guitarist, "Bird Legs" Youman, gets tangled up.

Zappa: Y'gettin' tired?
Youman: Nuh-uh...my fingers got stuck.

That song is so good...I wish it had gone on another ten minutes or so.

How about most of the guitar solo in Zeppelin's "Hearbtreaker?"

George Harrison on "All You Need Is Love". There's a big mistake right at the end of the solo. They tried to cover it up in the mix, but since they recorded the solo live they couldn't edit it out.

Slip is not slip-up.

off the top of my head, i can't think of a moment in an elliott track that would qualify. it all sounds really precise to me. even the early records.

one month passes...

actually, 'pitseleh' by elliott has a bit of a clunky guitar bit somewhere
