The band themselves were never too fond of "But Not Tonight" and had no understanding of why the US label wanted to flip the "Stripped" single making "But Not Tonight" the a-side.

Whoa I can't believe I missed this thread!!! "But Not Tonight" is one of my favorite Depeche songs but I think I'd have to vote for "Shout!" because it's more B-side-y and it's a FANTASTIC song.
