Confidence boosters!

i still get mildly obsessed with random madonna songs every few weeks or so - last week it was 'open your heart' which just makes you want to stride out of your house with absolute certainty over how good you look and with complete determination to get what you want.

best double whammy to listen to pre-date - beyoncé's 'upgrade u', then this

What are yours? I remember being a sullen and lonely lower sixth former and suddenly discovering Ill Communication and walking through Cambridge with a sudden new bounce to my step feeling like the baddest mutha there was.

Never felt like that because "absolute certainty over how good you look" and "complete determination to get what you want" between them have brought humanity to the verge of total destruction.

confidence is a preference to the habitual voyeur of what is known as...

HIT LER

"Mama Said Knock You Out" came on the radio right before I took my driver's test. I attribute this to why I passed.

I'm not sure this is confidence-inducing, but walking along listening to Basement Jaxx's "Hot & Cold" momentarily turns me into Chris Tucker's character in The Fifth Element.

Whereas Siegbran's Vitalic vs. Dizzee mashup makes me feel like I might actually shove anyone who blocks my way in the Times Square subway interchange.

Sugar Sugar by the Archies - I was 12 years old, at a school disco, and the girl the whole school fancied dragged me out onto the floor for a dance - I'm there again everytime I hear it : )

I think this is a bit too revealing about my psyche but my pre-date song was always "Don't Fall" by the Chameleons.

I guess it worked - I'm married with 3 kids.

Speaking of Times Square, I don't like headphones when I bike but I totally play Whale's "Hobo Humpin Slobo Babe" in my head everytime I go through there. I become like a banshee on fire, It puts me in the 'zone' and most of the time I don't even stop once.

Judas Priest's 'Defenders of the Faith', 'British Steel' and 'Painkiller' are good for this, for me anyway.

I don't think my list is gonna be any different than my 'what do you play when drunk' choices, if I think about it. Is there a message there I wonder :(
