Does something that the best music journalism should do -- made me pull out my copies of "Heaven and Hell" and "Mob Rules" to listen to again.

The piece is filled with great detail and history. It is comprehensive and stylishly written. There was wit and clarity. And it wasn't too short -- the length justified the subject perfectly.

Good job Adrien.

I already complimented him on that article on the rolling metal thread, so I win at sucking up!

Seriously, though, it did inspire me to pull out my copy of Heaven and Hell as well (although that album has been on medium rotation with me for the past few months).

Great article. Bloody Sabbath is from '73, not '75, but that's a minor quibble. Nice to see the compliment for Born Again as well. I was at the Radio City show at the end of March, and it absolutely smoked.
