Underrated Jewel -- Kris Kristofferson's Border Lord

I got this on vinyl several years ago. One of the best $1.06 I ever spent. The songs are great, especially "Josie" and "Little Girl Lost." When I got this, I wasn't too familiar with early 70's country. I listened to some Willie Nelson as a kid, but Border Lord was so good I discovered people like Gram Parsons, who I heard of but never bothered to listen to. Now I must confess it's one of my favorite time periods/styles of music period. I also dig the films around that time. I'd even say it was the last golden age of American cinema. Does anyone else like the early 1970's country/cosmic American music aesthetic? Nashville Skyline, The Silver-Tongued Devil and I, GP/Grievous Angel, and Shotgun Willie are some of my essentials. Anyway, I'm a newcomer to ILM so I'll try to settle down a bit on the amount of posts.

Nashville Skyline was hated when it came out, but since has been revered. Self-Portrait is the one no one ever seems to like.

This would be a great start. For me, it's a toss-up between "Border Lord" and "The Silver-Tongued Devil and I". Maybe go for the first one you find used.
