Basically just name off your FAVORITE spacey or etheral ALBUMS.

It could be jazz, ambient, electronica, or folk (pearls before swine comes to my mind).

Albums that stimulate your mind and create trippy dreamscapes.
it could be something that is eerire or haunting or eclectic
or something that hits your soul
or something so groovy or stoned-like that you zone out
or something that takes you to a different place (real or imaginary)
or something that makes you feel like you're in a whole different time (like the late 60s with fields of hippies)
finally, it could be a favorite album that makes you feel like a whole different person. For example, occasionally nirvana makes me reminisce with rebelious teenagers roaming the streets at night. Maybe that's just me. The music can definitely be soul-thumping sometimes.

Wolfgang Voigt's GAS: Zauberberg, Koenigsforst, Pop. Probably more than most other "ethereal" music...

Mark Clemente, Wednesday, 2 May 2007 13:32 (seventeen years ago) link

even the first Gas release, too. I can't forget "Oktember" either.

Do any of you have all time favorite albums that are trippy and instrumental?
or trippy with Folk undertones?
or trippy and jazzy?
or trippy with Classically Trained musicians?
favorite albums that are trippy and have congos or xylophones?
or a favorite album with a real trippy keyboardist/guitarist...

Preferrably nothing that recreates weird evil places like SNK, Coil, or Merzbow but heavenly places...

sorry if my questions are weird. I am weird.

my post was actually in reponse to this:

Preferrably nothing that recreates weird evil places like SNK, Coil, or Merzbow but heavenly places...

for some reason it reminded me of that letter...

Took the words out of my...keypad

In my top 10 all time (like anyone cares but jus sayin).

I do feel the Victorialand though also, for, like, ethereal (or etheral, if you prefer).

Strangely, these are the two that come to mind.
