DUD I HATE YOU ABC/IMPULSE FOR MAKING ME SWITCH RECORDS BETWEEN SIDES OF A LOVE SUPREME

Hah, vinyl. Are you used to CDs? There's a whole set of nuances that go with vinyl, having to do with track placement (2nd song on the A-side versus 2nd song on the B-side, etc; I won't go into it). And stopping and flipping the record is just part of the total experience.

dude, if your turntable had one of those automatic drop-and-play things you'd be lovin' it.

Naaaah dude, I'm all about the vinyl, I just hate having side 3 on the flip of side 1. It's goofy as shit to me that I need to switch out the record four times cause I want to hear some long-ass album in its entirety.

Newer shit gets it right, IMO. Side 1 b/w Side 2 etc.

four years pass...

What gives? Who started this annoying trend and why? What's the first double record that does this? Why do people still do this? It makes no sense to have to pull a record in and out of a sleeve EIGHT TIMES. Grrrr

I thought this was going to be a Metal Machine Music thread.
