when does this poll end?

lfam, Sunday, 6 May 2007 22:00 (eighteen years ago)

oops. 13/5

resolved, Sunday, 6 May 2007 22:01 (eighteen years ago)

track ii cuz it is the easiest record in the world to mix with

creme1, Sunday, 6 May 2007 22:03 (eighteen years ago)

like vahid said, these are all at least "really good" if sometimes boring. i think the only way to choose is through economy (i.e., i should get lyot reshape instead of phylyps trak because it has an arguably superior version of trak and the lyot reshape). but i think octagon / octaedre is the culmination of this sound. it strips everything down and lets the reverb build the rhythm back up.

lfam, Sunday, 6 May 2007 22:26 (eighteen years ago)

i did the same. but then i realized that i might just like 'Infinition/Hyperprism' better, especially on sunny days.

the table is the table, Sunday, 6 May 2007 23:18 (eighteen years ago)

but Octagon/Octaedre is definitely the epitome of the sound.

the table is the table, Sunday, 6 May 2007 23:19 (eighteen years ago)

basic reshape. remake is so pleasant, ornate and hummable...

, Sunday, 6 May 2007 23:49 (eighteen years ago)

i think page's soloing reached its epitome on "moby dick"

Tracer Hand, Monday, 7 May 2007 00:00 (eighteen years ago)

infinition

jed_, Monday, 7 May 2007 04:10 (eighteen years ago)

even tho it shouldn't really count.

jed_, Monday, 7 May 2007 04:11 (eighteen years ago)

if we're on that tip, why not DYTIQ??

lfam, Monday, 7 May 2007 04:20 (eighteen years ago)

track ii cuz it is the easiest record in the world to mix with

1000% otm!

but 'octagon' is my fave, unless i'm in a 'quadrant' mood. but then there's 'enforcement' which blew my mind by being the first. too hard!

stirmonster, Monday, 7 May 2007 05:13 (eighteen years ago)

revive

lfam, Monday, 7 May 2007 21:42 (eighteen years ago)

i need to go dig out my BC vinyl to answer this. i don't know if i can accomplish that by the 13th.

GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Monday, 7 May 2007 21:44 (eighteen years ago)

tempted by enforcement, but went for lyot, though its the maurizio rmx i like, and thats not on that 12..is it? i forget

600, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 01:18 (eighteen years ago)

that's on the 2nd M-series single, but the BC lyot reshape really works a good rhythm as well

lfam, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 01:50 (eighteen years ago)

and the dirty repressing actually adds to it

lfam, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 01:50 (eighteen years ago)

"buy vinyl.

no"

Well if you buy the cd comp, you better hope your volume knob goes to 143 to hear anything.

matt2, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 02:35 (eighteen years ago)

thats what i like about it. its completely silent, the entire disc

am0n, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 03:05 (eighteen years ago)

also, trak ii is so funky

creme1, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 04:47 (eighteen years ago)

im hearing that maurizio m2 rmx of lyot in my head now and its just superheavy monsterfunk, its one of those where it comes on and people just seem to drift powerlessly to the main floor. this and millsart and star dancer and all those, all right up there as untouchable top10 singles

600, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 08:37 (eighteen years ago)

revive

lfam, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 22:19 (eighteen years ago)

i voted for quadrant dub.

good dog, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 22:27 (eighteen years ago)

aye.

sexyDancer, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 22:29 (eighteen years ago)

lol i am going to start a poll now.

but yeah, that CD is so quiet. when i first listened to it, i was like 'huh, this sounds like an even more-buried fluxion.' then i stopped being lazy and got the 'originals.'

the table is the table, Wednesday, 9 May 2007 04:02 (eighteen years ago)

Another for Quadrant

Manalishi, Wednesday, 9 May 2007 04:18 (eighteen years ago)

I'm torn between Q.1.1 and Radiance

Michael F Gill, Wednesday, 9 May 2007 04:25 (eighteen years ago)

my post was eaten. i voted for "quadrant dub"

tricky, Wednesday, 9 May 2007 04:42 (eighteen years ago)

Can I vote for the Scion mix album?

http://www.discogs.com/release/43996

Awesome album.

Chewshabadoo, Wednesday, 9 May 2007 10:20 (eighteen years ago)

no, that would be an easy get out.
I still haven't decided between Q1.1, Octagon or Phylyps Trak II. too tough.

resolved, Wednesday, 9 May 2007 12:52 (eighteen years ago)

I will have to mull this over then...

Chewshabadoo, Wednesday, 9 May 2007 15:04 (eighteen years ago)

Radiance.

jim, Wednesday, 9 May 2007 15:27 (eighteen years ago)

Is the Maurizio cd as quiet? After buying and (not) hearing the BC one, I never picked it up.

matt2, Wednesday, 9 May 2007 16:22 (eighteen years ago)

i don't know, but maurizio m.3 is out of this world! the only time i've ever heard it played on a big system was when i went to see akufen at some big loft party in brooklyn. i about jumped out of my skin!

Tracer Hand, Wednesday, 9 May 2007 16:49 (eighteen years ago)

others here can testify

Tracer Hand, Wednesday, 9 May 2007 16:49 (eighteen years ago)

Q1.1 cuz it has the fiah

The Macallan 18 Year, Wednesday, 9 May 2007 18:19 (eighteen years ago)

that album is really sweet, chewy. esp. pts. 1, 4 and 7. actually, this album makes me want to vote for Cyrus- Enforcement right now...

the table is the table, Thursday, 10 May 2007 02:43 (eighteen years ago)

if i had voted it would have been quadrant dub although basic reshape is close

am0n, Sunday, 13 May 2007 09:05 (eighteen years ago)

there are no winners in a poll like this

lfam, Sunday, 13 May 2007 16:36 (eighteen years ago)

Only losers :'(

jim, Sunday, 13 May 2007 16:37 (eighteen years ago)

poor old enforcement:(

696, Sunday, 13 May 2007 17:36 (eighteen years ago)

even awesome records suffer here

lfam, Sunday, 13 May 2007 17:39 (eighteen years ago)

most divided field ever. what a shock

resolved, Sunday, 13 May 2007 17:55 (eighteen years ago)

ps I went for Trak II in the end

resolved, Sunday, 13 May 2007 17:55 (eighteen years ago)

am0n, Monday, 14 May 2007 02:34 (eighteen years ago)

the table is the table, Monday, 14 May 2007 02:50 (eighteen years ago)

i forgot to vote. but radiance, anyway.

GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Monday, 14 May 2007 07:55 (eighteen years ago)

the orig. enforcement is boring, but the two versions are good. i like presence better :{

am0n, Monday, 14 May 2007 13:22 (eighteen years ago)

"good" "better"

am0n, Monday, 14 May 2007 13:23 (eighteen years ago)

listening to it now, and still radiance.

damn.

wind and wtfering (GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ), Saturday, 22 November 2008 14:43 (sixteen years ago)

four years pass...

Phylyps -- Trak II has gotta be the most versatile track out there, no? I mean, it can be mixed (mashed up, even) with anything.

dan138zig (Durrr Durrr Durrrrrr), Thursday, 7 February 2013 06:01 (twelve years ago)

Q1.1 never gets old and never fails to make me want to dance.

electrobiscuit, Thursday, 7 February 2013 12:45 (twelve years ago)

the bass sound in lyot reshape is wonderful

elan, Friday, 8 February 2013 03:08 (twelve years ago)

agreed.

i love all these revives that are happening.

hilarious topless cookie chef (the table is the table), Friday, 8 February 2013 03:41 (twelve years ago)

eight years pass...

0 votes for Inversion is sad. That's the top for me along with Quadrant Dub and Radiance
