because not everybody reads the beardo thread but everybody will enjoy this a lot

Got a track ID request.

Could anyone tell me what the Italo tune in this track is?

http://www.datassette.net/music/datashat--stop_the_message.mp3

This guy put the Message acapella through a vocoder and then over this track.

Sounds really good pitched down.

Just received an email back from Datashat / Datasette.

Apparently this will see an extremely limited bootleg release later this year, and after that he plans to post it on his site at a higher bitrate.

Works for me!

I guess he's still tweaking it though.

Siah Alan, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 02:26 (eighteen years ago)

Check out his site for his Business Funk mixes.

Which are comprised of Business Library Records from the early 80s.

Crazy stuff.

Siah Alan, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 02:42 (eighteen years ago)

it's cool, but it could use some more of the girly chorus from the bwh tune

Michael F Gill, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 02:44 (eighteen years ago)

haha this is kind of fun. 'stop' is a great song to blend anything on really

deej, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 03:26 (eighteen years ago)

hard not to love this, wished he used the piano as well though.

dan selzer, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 03:34 (eighteen years ago)

loving his industrial strength mix

Fetchboy, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 03:47 (eighteen years ago)

the b side of the vinyl should be the "white lines" vocal over bwh's "livin it up"

Michael F Gill, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 03:50 (eighteen years ago)

i would buy this for <$12

lfam, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 04:02 (eighteen years ago)

I sent him another email with a link to this thread.

Hopefully he can tell you all directly.

Siah Alan, Monday, 23 July 2007 08:01 (eighteen years ago)

I would really, really like to know as well

Stevie D, Monday, 23 July 2007 08:05 (eighteen years ago)

Drum drums sound like they have been made by current technology. I cannot tell why, they just don't sound like drum machines from the 80s.

So my guess is the "Italo" part has been newly made for the track.

Geir Hongro, Monday, 23 July 2007 10:29 (eighteen years ago)

and your guess, like so many of your opinions, would be wrong!

haitch, Monday, 23 July 2007 10:33 (eighteen years ago)
