Marcello Carlin, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 09:45 (eighteen years ago)

too much choice

blueski, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 09:46 (eighteen years ago)

Wot, no Moby Grape?

Mark G, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 09:47 (eighteen years ago)

No Val Doonican, no cred.

Marcello Carlin, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 09:48 (eighteen years ago)

Where did you get this list from?

Alba, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 09:49 (eighteen years ago)

I know what would be a good idea, if we had a separate poll for the NME best single of the 60s poll and another for the Kerrang! best single of the 60s poll. They both voted for The Survivors and The Love Generation as well.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 09:51 (eighteen years ago)

Errm. I think you have left out some obvious choices here... ;)

Geir Hongro, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 09:51 (eighteen years ago)

I got it in a charity shop in whitley bay

theyre both great singles, and considering ones a brian wilson song and the other is a jimmy webb song im surprised MC MC thinks they are made up!

600, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 09:52 (eighteen years ago)

geir and his eagle eyes have spotted that i did indeed leave dino, desi & billy's thru spray colored glasses out. wasnt sure if it was a single or not. still, scanning the list again, i think i have most of the others

600, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 09:54 (eighteen years ago)

i havent voted yet, i dunno about you guys but for me its got to be a toss up between the survivors single and the love generation single

600, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 09:57 (eighteen years ago)

i can't decide between 'Vote' or 'Clear'

blueski, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 10:02 (eighteen years ago)

Not all Wilson or Webb songs are cherishable or indeed memorable.

Anyway! I've never heard of them! EW EW they are rubbish! Grey grandads get the mattress off your back! PARIS IS INNOCENT!!

Marcello Carlin, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 10:04 (eighteen years ago)

i'm going to a free paris party on friday :)

lex pretend, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 10:06 (eighteen years ago)

all the free paris t-shirts on the internet are disappointing though

lex pretend, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 10:07 (eighteen years ago)

montage is webbs finest hour, marginally ahead of wichita lineman

600, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 10:12 (eighteen years ago)

after the game is one of the few songs that accurately capture being stood under a cherry blossom and a bit falls on your hair. its an instrumental, as songs that are kind of like bits of cherry blossom falling in your hair should be

600, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 10:15 (eighteen years ago)

Is it as good as "Trombone Dixie"?

Marcello Carlin, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 10:19 (eighteen years ago)

i prefer it to trombone dixie. i dunno whether it 'stands up', it doesnt seem to have much of a reputation, i dont even know if its on cd, i picked it up on ebay for £1

600, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 10:24 (eighteen years ago)

oh of course, its on the 'pet projects' cd, i forgot

600, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 10:25 (eighteen years ago)

I've got the Pet Projects CD. I must give that track a proper listen.

Marcello Carlin, Tuesday, 8 May 2007 10:27 (eighteen years ago)
