Torsten Fenslau...

Some years ago I found this great dance tune called "Alone (It's Me)" by Abfahrt. It was included in a late 90's retro compilation among other EBM/New Beat/Goth stuff.

In 2006 I got LDC's 1993 album "Plasma" (thanks eBay). Tracks like "T-Raumreise", "Die Schwarze Zone" or "Daydream" sound faster and less dark than Abfahrt but still cold and minimal, with early trance synths and cool German vocals.

The guy behind all this great music turned out to be Torsten Fenslau, which also released the pop hit "Mister Vain" as Culture Beat in 1993, and died in an accident a short time afterwards.

I wonder if people still listen to Mr. Fenslau's music, and what would be the best picks from all his projects, or similar stuff from the same time frame (I once heard some stuff by Time Modem and liked it a lot).

ok wikipedia seems to suggest dag, sven and marc spoon but not marco. anyway, mr vain and the dorian gray residency is all i really know about him. dorian gray sounded like an awesome place though
