Mr. Que, Friday, 1 June 2007 16:30 (eighteen years ago)

If Sting is the god of rock, then I'm the winner of the ILE poll for best British Prime Minister of the 20th Century.

Bill Magill, Friday, 1 June 2007 16:32 (eighteen years ago)

awesome

Jordan, Friday, 1 June 2007 16:36 (eighteen years ago)

Ah but it's all a good laff between the lads aw you guyyyyzzzz!!!!!!

Mark G, Friday, 1 June 2007 16:43 (eighteen years ago)

it woulda been funnier if he offered to give all the concertgoers their money back

Shakey Mo Collier, Friday, 1 June 2007 16:47 (eighteen years ago)

Fortunately, no fists flew backstage as they did back in the Police's heyday. The threesome fell into each other's arms laughing hysterically, Copeland said.

"Screw it, it's only music. What are you gonna do? But maybe it's time to get out of Vancouver.

FUCK.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Friday, 1 June 2007 16:54 (eighteen years ago)

what are they gonna do? They're gonna laugh all the way to the fucking bank is what they're gonna do DUH

Shakey Mo Collier, Friday, 1 June 2007 16:58 (eighteen years ago)

It might actually assuage their angst to have sex with each other. Fuck knows the sexual tension's been brewing for 30 years.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Friday, 1 June 2007 17:11 (eighteen years ago)

I'd rather lose a limb than see this show.

Bill Magill, Friday, 1 June 2007 17:12 (eighteen years ago)

People are taking this WAY too seriously. It's on Yahoo news as, er, "news," for Christ's sake. Dude's just being his cranky sarcastic self anyhow.

Davey D, Friday, 1 June 2007 17:13 (eighteen years ago)

Someone please make with the appropriate cat macro here, I'm feeling short of breath.

Jon Lewis, Friday, 1 June 2007 17:14 (eighteen years ago)

I think I would have really enjoyed this show.

Jordan, Friday, 1 June 2007 17:16 (eighteen years ago)

Sting is easily one of the most annoying people on the face of the planet. If anything, Copeland has been too generous.

Richard Wood Johnson, Friday, 1 June 2007 17:23 (eighteen years ago)

The only pansy cat I could find:

STEELIN YUR MUNNEYZ

Jon Lewis, Friday, 1 June 2007 17:28 (eighteen years ago)

They were fuckin' fantastic in Seattle. I was surprised and very pleased. I think they are on a roll. In the next couple of weeks they are only going to get even better. I can't imagine what they are going to sound like by the end of the tour, if they don't get too tired. This was honestly the best concert I've been too in a couple of years.

Actually, there were a good number of tickets that went unsold for this, so even though I refused to pay more than the minimum price for mine, I lucked out when a lady came around with a whole stack of tickets and offered me and other people around me much better seats in exchange for the tickets we paid for. Ticketmaster can suck it! They misjudged the whole thing. Money was lost.

A friend made fun of me for going, citing "Fields of Barley". Jesus, people. Sting solo is not the Police. You insult Summers & Copeland and everything they did as a band when you use the excuse "Sting sucks". They were never one of my FAVE bands, but let's give credit where credit is due. They deserve it this year like never before.

Bimble, Saturday, 9 June 2007 04:54 (eighteen years ago)

Slowly but surely, they're putting a new spin on old songs. Don't Stand So Close To Me never sounded so sad and beautiful. Wrapped Around Your Finger was transcendent. There was another song too...very well known...that Sting changed the vocal line just slightly so it had a whole new meaning. I found that refreshing.

I love that this could have been written 20 years ago.

da croupier, Saturday, 9 June 2007 05:30 (eighteen years ago)

Are they still rhyming "failure" with "jail you"?

da croupier, Saturday, 9 June 2007 05:31 (eighteen years ago)

Oh go suck a popsicle.
