hello. i'm presently booking a west coast tour (early august) for myself (eyes like saucers) - i was formerly the scrawny, bespectacled character on the farfisa organ in the beat combo known as urdog - here's my website: www.eyeslikesaucers.com and here's another: www.myspace.com/saucerslikeeyes
anyhow. e.l.s. is primarily an indian pedal harmonium based solo project - think nico/popol vuh/current 93/carl orff/or something like that, or just go listen to the mp3s on my goddamn websites.
so far, things have been going rather well (as re: booking) but i've hit a few snags: los angeles (i've got a radio session at kxlu, but no show), santa cruz, sacramento, northern california, eugene.
and, a few more snags: boise, idaho; salt lake city, utah; space between s.l.c. and albuqueque, n.m. (from which i will be flying back to the east coast).
all of these dates are for the first two weeks of august.
otherwise, i've got a lot of good shows in s.f., seattle, olympia, and elsewhere in arizona and new mexico - and i can always busk.
if anyone can help me out, i would be immensely appreciative.
j. urdog k.

Try the Echo Curio, maybe? They put on a variety of shows and the Bottling Smoke festival that happened the other week was a treat.

Any east coast dates? UrDog were one of Providence's best bands for a few minutes there.

echo curio - i will check that out. thank you.
for east coast dates, check out my website: www.eyeslikesaucers.com - it's mostly up-to-date.
i'm touring with area c in early july for about 10 shows.

Yer welcome. Ask for Grant or Tim, but anyone there should be able to answer your question.

wow. echo curio already panned out for me - thank you again mr. raggett. any suggestions for l.a. acts to fill the bill? i guess i need to provide the other "entertainment" for the evening - i could always play an urdog in addition to my solo set, but that might not go over so well.

Hey, you're welcome -- glad to be able to help! There's our own Chaki, of course, which would be one hell of a double bill. The Brian Miller/Deathbombarc mafia. The folks behind Echo Curio are involved with all sorts of acts, which is handy. You like Changeling at all?

sorry for the delayed response - i've gotten Fantastic Ego and Sleepwalkers to fill the Echo Curio bill, so thanks again, Mr. Raggett.
however, i am still fretting a bit about santa cruz, northern cal (arcata?), and eugene, and i'm looking to fill some dates between august 5th and august 9th or 10th - of course, i'll be playing in portland on one of those dates and also stonehenge as well (if anyone doesn't know what the hell i'm talking about, just look it up. i'm making a film and it's going to top "pink floyd at pompeii". seriously.) i don't mind so much not playing, as i'm lazy and epileptic - but i also enjoy playing and i kinda do NEED the money, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a few more shows.
so if anyone's got any ideas about n.cal, santa cruz, or eugene, suggest away - or better yet, if one is so inclined or motivated, book away! i'll play anywhere - house shows, coffee shops, back yards, alleys, whatever - just give me a goddamn show! and check out my present itinerary at: eyeslikesaucers.com or my lame myspace page
you can hear my mp3s at either of those pages, as well - and you can even contact me directly and buy my cds. wow. yeah.

oh yeah - one other place that's proving to be a monster: salt lake city, utah.
i'd love to play at the old saltair - actually, even the new one would be alright, cuz it's still got that "carnival of souls" feel - and since i'm six foot tall and down to 125 pounds now, i'm pretty damn close to a zombie already. really, that would be a blast! and, i'm already an organist!
