Okay, it's not Orbital. It's not Primal Scream. I think it might be Underworld or well...not Prodigy I guess. But something danceable from...whenever during the period I said in the thread title.
It starts out with this synth thing, only 4 notes, repeated quite a few times. If pressed I could identify which notes these are if it would help.
And then all of a sudden someone starts talking in monotone rap style, pretty obviously a white dude. But it's kindof hushed against this beginning riff...real hushed and then I think the track explodes into something else. Christ what is this? I don't know why it's in my head and I don't think I even have it.

That's it! I've heard the intro now, and indeed Born Slippy is it. Thanks so much. Normally, honestly this is something that would have made me think "oh god please put on something else" but for some reason I heard it in my head, at least the intro. Thanks! :)
