"I'm 'a buy you a drink/ Ooh, I'm 'a take you home with me" or "Keep your drink, just gimme the money/ It's just you and your hand tonight"?

I need to know.

Incidentally, "U + UR Hand" has an immensely confusing intro. Whenever it comes on the radio I go through, like, five songs before I figure out what it is, which usually isn't until the vox comes in. I go through this whole "'My Humps'? No. 'Wild Thing'? Hmmm. I'm lost. Oh yeah, Pink!" thing.

I do that! And I've had the album since it came out.

Somebody feels my pain.

I usually think it's "Funky Cold Medina" for a second.

Anyway, T-Pain. Pink just feels like she's being gratuitously nasty.

"Funky Cold Medina" and "Wild Thing" are the same song, dummy.

The Reverend, Saturday, 9 June 2007 11:27 (eighteen years ago)

Oh yeah. I see now.

If I could somehow physically put both songs into a shell and fire them out of a giant Jules Verne-esque cannon into the sun I would do so. I guess what I am trying to say is I do not care particularly for either. But maybe a slight edge for Pink since her song doesn't have the lingering stench of Akon's vocoder all over it.

...though I don't think I would have really strong feelings either way if I didn't have to hear both songs several times a day on my cubemate's radio.

granted, radio saturation probably does it no favours at all, but i still can't really understand it when people hate on 'buy u a drank'. just... listen to the thing! the hazy synth, the harmonies, the weary craft of it - a complete 3minute48second otherworld. being annoyed by hearing a vocoder again is literally the dullest thought one could possibly have.

T-T-Totally dude! My favorite thing about the song is how the synths and vocoders have almost the exact same texture and interact in interesting ways. I think I actually like "Bartender" better, though.
