I keep feeling like I have to bump this into new answers. I dont do I.

I'm listening to a track on their web site now. I can't hear any of the shoegaze influence they claim but there's definite Comsat Angels and Chameleons in there. Their press cuttings mention 4AD, Xymox, Wolfgang Press, Bunnymen, Smiths, Cure, Japan, Television, Cocteaus, etc. WTF? Has someone compressed the 80s into one band?

I'll give them a better listen after work when I can turn the volume up a bit.

I came across these guys because the guitarist was pimping them on the Chameleons LJ group. They have a great sound; I wish more bands nowadays sounded like this.

I agree. When bands like Interpol came out I was all ehhh.. but these guys are awesome.

Seriously you guys, this band is AWESOMELY GOOD.

Listening to them on myspace now...I really like the way the bass is well up in the mix. Seems like they took great care with their production (although I agree with whoever said all music sounds pretty crap/overcompressed on myspace). I'll have to listen some more in a better format.

Well thank goodness for that. I've only managed to grab one song so far today. Chances are whatever you sent will be a different one. I'm not looking for too many, just a few, and if I like it, I'll buy it.
