By the way, it breaks my heart how awful Fashion had become by the time "Move On" came out. I really love some of their earlier stuff but they had a different vocalist then.

I appreciate the DAF, though. I don't think that one was on the other thread.

Move On and many other Fashion songs from that period, like Dressed To Kill, are totally classic.

My German teacher introduced me and my class to Der Plan, Ideal and other Neue Waffe groups in the early 80's. Der Plan have something in common with Devo, though the drums are teutonic and DAF-like. They know the value of a good old knees-up chorus.

Dreiklangsdimensionen - they occasionally play that at the German Club down the road along with various other 80's new wave numbers. I love that song - the primitive Dr Rhythm drum machine, the wavering guitars, and the discrete vocals and general moodiness.
