The Reverend-sanctioned pick is, of course, "This Is How We Do It", shout out to my boy Max and to all the gangbangers who forgot about the drive-by.

The Reverend, Saturday, 23 June 2007 06:03 (eighteen years ago)

Also, big-ups to Coolio and Ray Castoldi!

The Reverend, Saturday, 23 June 2007 06:04 (eighteen years ago)

if montell jordan doesn't win this, please shut ILM down.

Jordan Sargent, Saturday, 23 June 2007 07:19 (eighteen years ago)

andi, Saturday, 23 June 2007 08:16 (eighteen years ago)

the ratio of songs that might appear on a Mighty Ducks soundtrack is a real drop from volume 1.

Gukbe, Saturday, 23 June 2007 12:31 (eighteen years ago)

Curt1s Stephens, Saturday, 23 June 2007 17:51 (eighteen years ago)

"This Is How We Do It" just over Black Box. I really need to pick up these records.

I don't think I've ever heard any of these tunes... Were they American hits only?

Tuomas, Sunday, 24 June 2007 11:38 (eighteen years ago)

you've heard "the bomb" trust me

The Macallan 18 Year, Sunday, 24 June 2007 14:41 (eighteen years ago)

for me it's a toss up between "the bomb" and "get down tonight"

if this was vol. 1, i would have chosen "c'mon and ride it (the train)" by the quad city djs, easy

Tracer Hand, Sunday, 24 June 2007 14:44 (eighteen years ago)

'Give It Up' was a hit across Europe, quasi-rave tribal drums greatness

blueski, Sunday, 24 June 2007 14:53 (eighteen years ago)

Really, Tuomas, you've never heard of the first group?

They're huge in America. Every DJ in the treefort knows who those two are.

Pleasant Plains, Sunday, 24 June 2007 16:18 (eighteen years ago)

Most of those aren't actual songs...the tracks without artists are just brief interludes. "Happy and You Know It" is an interlude by the organist for the Mets and Knicks. The first track is the intro featuring catchphrases by two Sportscenter hosts.

"Set It Off" got attention in the UK, but by the Harlequin Four's. The Strafe version is way better though.

musically, Sunday, 24 June 2007 18:00 (eighteen years ago)

if montell jordan doesn't win this, please shut ILM down.

agreed

Jeff, Sunday, 24 June 2007 18:37 (eighteen years ago)

The first track is the intro featuring catchphrases by two Sportscenter hosts.

I think that you meant to say Sportscenter artists.

Pleasant Plains, Sunday, 24 June 2007 23:00 (eighteen years ago)

I now realize I was only looking forward to this so I could vote for Bucketheads.

billstevejim, Sunday, 24 June 2007 23:23 (eighteen years ago)

Steve Shasta, Monday, 25 June 2007 16:14 (eighteen years ago)

andrew m., Monday, 25 June 2007 16:27 (eighteen years ago)

Tracer Hand, Monday, 25 June 2007 16:34 (eighteen years ago)

Tracer Hand, Monday, 25 June 2007 16:35 (eighteen years ago)

Curt1s Stephens, Monday, 25 June 2007 16:38 (eighteen years ago)

Dodger Stadium always plays "one more time" when the Dodgers score in a single run.

Steve Shasta, Monday, 25 June 2007 17:10 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Monday, 25 June 2007 23:01 (eighteen years ago)

ILM: Safe for now

The Reverend, Tuesday, 26 June 2007 23:33 (eighteen years ago)

no votes for Dan Patrick and Chris Berman = the skies of bristol will burn tonight

The Macallan 18 Year, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 00:02 (eighteen years ago)

I would have voted for Macarena but it was that shitty jive-ass Los Del Mar version which is so completely inferior to the Los Del Rio Bayside Boys Mix it sickens me that the masses would even engage such spittle.

Steve Shasta, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 00:08 (eighteen years ago)

have wanted to hear a mash-up of 'this is how we do it' with 'another one bites the dust/last night a dj saved my life' for a while now.

blueski, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 00:31 (eighteen years ago)

I'm so excited for the vol 3 poll!

musically, Wednesday, 27 June 2007 00:57 (eighteen years ago)

I'm like 30% shocked that Macarena recieved 2 votes.

billstevejim, Sunday, 1 July 2007 21:45 (eighteen years ago)

Also "No Limit" takes me back.. I probably haven't heard this song since 1998.

billstevejim, Sunday, 1 July 2007 21:45 (eighteen years ago)

This is exactly as it should be.

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Sunday, 1 July 2007 21:58 (eighteen years ago)
