I just got this again after not hearing it since it came out. I'm surprised by what a really nice production sound it has. Really breathes. Though I guess the fact that I just bought better headphones helps too! Truth be told, I feel INXS were probably at their peak circa The Swing, but they were just about there with this one. Anyone have any particular feeling on this album? This CD makes me think there's really no point in remastering anything. It sounds just fine as it is.

"Old World New World" is a pretty extraordinary track, too, if we forget about the singles for a moment ("The One Thing", "Don't Change"). Actually I see "To Look At You" was a single as well. Damn, I bet the b-sides are great for this stuff, too.

Aw, HELL no. Not only is it one of INXS' many lame albums, it has the distinct honour of having the worst album name ever AND the worst album cover art ever (Bloke Holding a Dog Division).

Hahahah. I expected the backlash! You've done a fine job! :)

I listened to this a lot in high school, but not much since (besides the singles). I guess my strongest tie to it is hearing the dj play "Don't Change" right after the clock struck 12 into the year 2000. Balloons and confetti fell from the ceiling and everyone there completely lost their shit and danced like mad.

i found it mysterious and compelling in junior high. the spy of love and don't change still sound pretty good these days. don't know if i'd attempt the entire album. maybe just side two.

That's a great story, Mr. Fever.

Is that the one with the "Just keep walking" track? as per the "I'm so bonkers" or whatever it was called, remix?

don't change is a great song

It was the dsoundtrack to my first ever threesome. Round and round it went, on a loop.

Is that the one with the "Just keep walking" track?

no, that was two albums earlier

you're right, this is a pretty great album. Not as good as The Swing, of course, bust still a lot of fun.

They used to be great - before the sellout with Kick. I was hella into Listen Like Thieves too.
