This might be the one you can use to convince your friends Buckethead is actually cool.
Track 4 reminds me of "Eruption"... not that "Eruption" is great, but that it sounded really cool at the time sort of (I was 10 or something) and people still like that "chewiness" of the "ectoplasm" or whatever the fuck it's called.
Anyway, the sound is really great and it's live. Much better than the live torrents I've downloaded.
I don't have to tell Praxis fans, but Praxis fans should check it out.
Oh, it's brand new, despite the 2004 date.

I thought this thread was going to be about the teacher licensing exam.

It was originally, but then I remembered that I had the CD and didn't live in Tennessee and it wasn't 2004. But, we can still talk about that if you want.

I really like the Praxis CD Zurich, but don't much like the studio stuff at all. How does this one compare to Zurich?

It's great stuff. I also recommend downloading this set: http://stores.musictoday.com/store/product.asp?band_id=741&sfid=2&dept_id=7523&pf_id=FEDD57
I can't tell if it's drawn from an entirely different show at the same festival or not, but it has a rapturous version of Maggot Brain that is most definitely not on the new disc. Everyone should download at least that one track.

I have had a sbd/aud matrix bootleg of that show for a while and didn't really like it too much because it sounded very dry and all I could hear were what seemed to be mistakes. So, I was very surprised at the sound quality of Tennessee 2004 in comparison. Everything sounds flawlessly played and the sound quality is superb. I don't have the official Bonnaroo release (I don't think, anyway), so I'm not sure how it compares. If it was free, I'd download it. :-)
