IUMA's not in a hurry to put my page up so here's the preview:

Hmmm, I just realized those are all more dramatic climax-oriented pieces. I'll try to do something about that tonight.

Just listened to "Internal Feedback Composition 1". The bleeps are interesting, though perhaps a bit too subtle for my taste. The noisy section between about 8:00 and 12:30 is awesome though.

"Composition for Indian Harmonium" is very nice. Was that really played on a harmonium? Was there some kind of post-processing on it? That one's probably my favorite of the set.

York never stuck me as rockist university though.

Yeah, I'm mad that i missed Branca's 13th last summer. I was in Japan. I saw some pictures. It looked great, How was it? and when is he perfoming next?

Ahh I really like this.

Listening to 'IFC one' at the present.

I really like the way at about 10 minutes the noise goes from being really high definition to what sounds like low sample-rate stuff.

I also really like that high pitched noise a bit earlier that holds one note only to waver up and drop back suddenly sporadically.

11:35 it's getting really, really good now :)

It kind of reminds me of turning on a chainsaw, opening the floodgates of a dam, and launching a rocket all at the same time.

The only thing I don't like about it is the annoying noise that glides from high to low to mid-high to low to high again. The little noises in the background of that remind me of windscreen wipers, though, and conjure up really nice images of overcast rainy days.

Thank you for your responses. I miked a harmonium and ran it through flanger, digital delay, and harmonizer pedals. It's all played live.

There's been an overhaul. Some really old stuff that I don't like as much anymore has been removed. Totally new and improved stuff has replaced it - a piece for a 15-piece undergrad ensemble and a digital piece working with guitar samples. It's been organized into 'albums'. I'm going to do something about the photos and layout soon.

In general, there's less noise, some more large-scale structure, more melodies and rhythms, some pretty singing. It's a total sellout move.
