I think everything's here, the table, the menstrual egg timer, the cat. Some pretty good records too.

You should be able to find something from the 350 +options.

Billy Dods, Thursday, 5 July 2007 21:39 (seventeen years ago)

i believe i will choose fac 47

electricsound, Thursday, 5 July 2007 22:14 (seventeen years ago)

It's times like these you'd wish the poll supported ranked voting with instant runoff, because I can't choose just one. I simply CANNOT. But I will, and it's FAC 82, Cab Voltaire's Yashar. "Where are they hiding?"

DJ Logan5, Thursday, 5 July 2007 23:35 (seventeen years ago)

FAC 200: Substance, New Order (album)

stephen, Friday, 6 July 2007 01:07 (seventeen years ago)

FAC 7 ftw

Curt1s Stephens, Friday, 6 July 2007 01:15 (seventeen years ago)

Jim if you didn't pick FAC47 I would assume someone had brainwashed you.

Trayce, Friday, 6 July 2007 01:23 (seventeen years ago)

The Distractions single.

dan selzer, Friday, 6 July 2007 01:28 (seventeen years ago)

the challenge here is to ensure every option gets one and only one vote, without telling people which you voted for.

f. hazel, Friday, 6 July 2007 04:34 (seventeen years ago)

Personally, I'm leaning toward FAC99.

The Reverend, Friday, 6 July 2007 05:02 (seventeen years ago)

which was the thing with the pieces of orange peel in it? did they rot i wonder?

pisces, Friday, 6 July 2007 09:30 (seventeen years ago)

FAC 413: Jack Magazine January 2003 issue

lol

Dom Passantino, Friday, 6 July 2007 09:34 (seventeen years ago)

http://home.dialix.com/~u3336/factory/images/413.jpg

electricsound, Friday, 6 July 2007 09:39 (seventeen years ago)

RIP. Heaven need an unreadable pile of shit

Dom Passantino, Friday, 6 July 2007 09:44 (seventeen years ago)

As tempting as FAC61 always is ("I'm a genius, you're all fucking wankers. You'll never see me again. You don't deserve to see me again."), I'll probably vote National Pastime or The Guitar & Other Machines just to piss everyone off. And so New Order doesn't get every fucking vote.

King Boy Pato, Friday, 6 July 2007 11:16 (seventeen years ago)

Fopp never reduced the price on FAC461 enough.

Mark G, Friday, 6 July 2007 11:19 (seventeen years ago)

FAC 91: Facsoft computer programme computer game cassette

Wait, what was this all about? The Section 25 Text-Based Computer Adventure?

King Boy Pato, Friday, 6 July 2007 11:20 (seventeen years ago)

you had to navigate your way around the game collecting various parts of the rhythm track of blue monday

electricsound, Friday, 6 July 2007 11:24 (seventeen years ago)

what

King Boy Pato, Friday, 6 July 2007 11:59 (seventeen years ago)

I didn't vote for the record I am on, because I am not sure, to be honest whether I am on it or not :) I've only heard it once, and that was about 15 years ago.

So - I voted for a record that kind of sums up Factory for me. I don't expect anyone else to vote for it.

Dr.C, Friday, 6 July 2007 12:39 (seventeen years ago)

I want to vote for FACUS 2, the Atmosphere/She's Lost Control 12 inch, but I can't.

So, grudgingly, FAC 51 gets it becuase it was so important.

Guilty_Boksen, Friday, 6 July 2007 12:46 (seventeen years ago)

I went for the album I played the most, and still do!

Mark G, Friday, 6 July 2007 12:47 (seventeen years ago)

I'd love to see something really crazy and off the wall win this one. But for me, no Factory Benelux no credibility.

Bimble, Saturday, 7 July 2007 03:31 (seventeen years ago)

So, Dr. C. what's the deal? Did you try the new Section 25 album or what? You never said.

Bimble, Saturday, 7 July 2007 04:12 (seventeen years ago)

yeah, I have it! It's fantastic and overwhelming etc etc etc. I will say more when I eventually get some time.

Dr.C, Saturday, 7 July 2007 11:41 (seventeen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

ILX System, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 23:01 (seventeen years ago)

so vote vote vote, as old Hughie said. "Stand up and be counted" as he got the sack for saying, the old fascist. (just pre-empting Marcello there)

Mark G, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 08:40 (seventeen years ago)

Does anyone know Tony Wilson's e-mail address? I want to ask him for a FAC Number for the "Esteban Buttez" character.

Anyway, I ended up voting FAC 20 because it would have been the greatest thing ever if they filmed it (A Certain Ratio kidnapping Ian Curtis!).

King Boy Pato, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 08:48 (seventeen years ago)

"So - I voted for a record that kind of sums up Factory for me. I don't expect anyone else to vote for it."

Me too. Wonder if it's the same one: the band who recorded the single I'm voting for later became the punchline of a song by Half Man Half Biscuit....

Stewart Osborne, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 09:23 (seventeen years ago)

You're going home in a......?

Nah - I voted for a band who became another band, also on Factory, both of whom shared members with another band, also on Factory.

Dr.C, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 09:33 (seventeen years ago)

I voted for the Mondays.

Noodle Vague, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 09:35 (seventeen years ago)

"I voted for a band who became another band, also on Factory, both of whom shared members with another band, also on Factory."

Aren't you prepared to narrow it down any further than that?

Stewart Osborne, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 09:39 (seventeen years ago)

OK - they were from Manchester :)

Dr.C, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 09:41 (seventeen years ago)

From Manchester? You're just making this up!

Stewart Osborne, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 09:46 (seventeen years ago)

No honestly, they did! Can you believe that - a Fac band from Manchester?

Proper clue : they had a brother and sister in the line-up.

Dr.C, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 09:52 (seventeen years ago)

of each other?

Mark G, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 10:24 (seventeen years ago)

I think you're misunderstanding The Doc, Mark: they had a brother and sister who were in The Line Up, that almost-legendary band from Pendlebury who supposedly only ever performed live once and split up soon afterwards, in late '77 while they were in the middle of recording an album for Rabid, which was never actually finshed or officially released but which is supposed to have been the blueprint for just about everything that Joy Division, A Certain Ration, Section 25, Crispy Ambulance, Stockholm Monsters and just about every other Factory act subsequently did.

Mondays help fund label guru's cancer fight

I didn't realise that the Happy Mondays had any money left, but good on them anyhow.

Mark G, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 15:39 (seventeen years ago)

I suppose it's about time the Mondays bought some drugs for Wilson, as he's bought enough for them in his time.

Billy Dods, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 15:55 (seventeen years ago)

Because no else will I want to vote for Force by A Certain Ratio. Sometimes I'm in the mood for slick funk-pop. I'll probably vote for Flight though.

leavethecapital, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 19:46 (seventeen years ago)

twelve years pass...

Wasn't sure where to put this, but 'Taste What's Rhythm' by the Swamp Children was released last month. Haunted vocals aside, could be a *Get Up With It* outtake or something.
