Although almost every release is excellent, "Where We At" and "Rej" are outstanding for me. I chose "Where We At."

BALANDINE

lex pretend, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 19:41 (eighteen years ago)

ooooh, hard one. 'balandine' or 'sleepy hollow' for me.

haitch, Tuesday, 10 July 2007 23:59 (eighteen years ago)

such a good label!

haitch, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 00:00 (eighteen years ago)

Rej ... gotta be (but balandine is growing on me). The other one I like is the Chateau Flight (3 great tracks! And it's got that deep techno meets kerrier district thing going on).

The vocals on Where We At kind of annoy me though.

Romeo Jones, Wednesday, 11 July 2007 04:26 (eighteen years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

Sleepy Hollow, if I'd voted.

resolved, Thursday, 12 July 2007 23:10 (eighteen years ago)

I only know one Franck Roger track from that release but it's great - shoulda got a vote.

Tim F, Friday, 13 July 2007 01:30 (eighteen years ago)

Latest release in steamrolling shocker *sigh

blunt, Friday, 13 July 2007 01:56 (eighteen years ago)

I didn't vote, probably would have gone for 5.

Blunt i thought you didn't like this label anyway?

Tim F, Friday, 13 July 2007 03:28 (eighteen years ago)

No wai, have already sung odes to Tokyo Black Star elsewhere. F. Roger also good, Where We At is OK. "Rej" remains the most overrated, overplayed precious medieval trance tune evarh.

blunt, Friday, 13 July 2007 03:40 (eighteen years ago)

Seriously. Whenever I hear it I picture court jesters in tight pants sauntering and fiddling about.

^^ lol, more things should evoke this vibe really.

i have totally flipped for the seemingly ignored 'spellbound'. don't like the new henrik or 'secret weapons 2' much, tho. new ame trax must be due soon, surely? pls pls pls.

hey there innervisions stans, did you know you can get a subscription to the label's output this year?

resident advice whore (haitch), Wednesday, 4 February 2009 02:13 (seventeen years ago)

anyone heard this comp? what's it like?

winstonian (winston), Wednesday, 4 February 2009 02:56 (seventeen years ago)

only one i bought ws balandine ep but you know what? only one i love is spellbound.

or something, Wednesday, 4 February 2009 03:04 (seventeen years ago)

I think that subscription is a great idea (NB. I don't really know the conversion rate between the Euros and CAD), which makes me pity the fact that I don't really like Innervisions that much.

mehlt, Wednesday, 4 February 2009 03:07 (seventeen years ago)

What? I cannot vote for "Too High" nor "All In Love Is Fair"? :)

Geir Hongro, Wednesday, 4 February 2009 03:57 (seventeen years ago)

rapier wit, there

ha so i ended up subbing and the first package turned up today. secret weapons 3 is really good! i like the jark prongo track a lot. there's going to be a new ame 12" by the end of the month too. they appear to have found themselves a cowbell if the samples are anything to go by.

On Henrik's version, I adore how that staggering snare hit comes in as Derrick intones from the distance "FIND - YOUR - SOUL!"

Tim F, Tuesday, 14 April 2009 14:04 (sixteen years ago)

Muting the Noise is a great collection of beatless but not rhythmless tracks. I love it. Listen to it still fairly often.

what does the bassline on Setsa remind me of? some 80s pop thing maybe?

that question belongs here: Âme / Ame

the innervisions folx have sent me their translated version of tobias rapp's 'lost and sound: berlin, techno and the easyjet set' - any book with a chapter titled 'partying until your hair starts to glow' gets the thumbs-up from me, frankly.

greasy joes mobile disco (haitch), Tuesday, 2 February 2010 00:43 (sixteen years ago)

Really want to read this. Tobias is a top bloke and super insightful even in random conversation so I'm expecting big things from a whole book.

So, like, this sounds nice and all, but how many more tracks like this can Innervisions put out. Has the Innervision snake swallowed its tail and entered a cycle of self-refinement-cum-self-destruction?

Also, there's a big Innervisions party at the popular-science museum here that looks like it'll be amazing, but it's $50 so, y'know...

They're just prepping the trance revival.

errant flynn, Friday, 10 July 2015 04:37 (ten years ago)

Weird result, I can't even remember how Balandine goes whereas both Rej and Where We At? are burned into my brain.

Matt DC, Friday, 10 July 2015 11:42 (ten years ago)

I think I preferred the b-side on Balandine, the one that sounded like a battleship docking.
