I'm making a mix for my sister who's getting married, and I'm looking for songs from any genre that mention or feature marriage, weddings, etc. There are tons of songs about love (i.e. most) but I'm trying to be more specific. Don't worry about appropriateness; I'll even consider something like "All Apologies" (married... buried...) as she has a sense of humour. So far I have:
"Wedding Song" - Dylan "The Marriage" - Billy Bragg "Hotel Yorba" - The White Stripes
Throw anything even remotely relevant at me, I'll sort them. Please come through for me good people of ILM, I'm running out of time...

Etta James Rocks the House has the infallible weep-fest, "All I Could Do Is Cry" that goes something like this:
I heard church bells ringing, and I heard a choir singing And I saw my love walk down the aisle - on her finger, he placed the ring And I saw them holding hands. She was standing there, with my man And I heard them promise, "Until death do us part" And each word was a pain in my heart And all I could do is Cry
And now the wedding is over. Rice has been thrown over their heads For them life has just begun. But mine, oh lord, is at an end And all I could do is Cry. And I was losing the man that I loved And all I could do was Cry
BTW, this album belongs in everybody's collection.

There's another great old country one called "Tennessee Wedding" but for the life of me I can't think of who does it. Google no help.
