I went with VH1C for all the old BBC concerts and such. AC/DC, Blondie, The Smiths, etc. And they've played Urgh! A Music War.

They streamed mtvU into lots of buildings at my university and I assure you that they air plenty of terrible non-music programming.

I'm also voting for VH1 Classic because every time I ever see it (which isn't often, unfortunately) there's something amazing on. A rerun of Club MTV with Downtown Julie Brown, an old episode of Pop-Up Video, etc.

mtvU is horrible. Every time I turned it on last semester it was either 30 Seconds to Mars or Mary J Blige. And maybe the silly Blood Brothers video if I was lucky.

you all are really wrong about mtvU, especially the dude who says they play non-music programming. they maybe did a few specials about AIDS or something but at that point its just time for a nap anyway.
also ionno at what time you dudes were watching mtvU but i always saw plenty of tv on the radio/islands/el-p/lupe/tokyo police club and usually some type of reggae/ton bloc.
