Those guys don't look too bad. I'm off to have a couple drinks at my corner bar, and I'm sure I'll see much worse there.
Check out the pics on the sleeve of BOC's first alb if you want hairy.

I always had this totally uninformed, very possibly wrongheaded image of Steppenwolf as being a bunch of cynical fux capitalizing on psychedelia. Their lyrics always sound ultra-contrived to me and the singer looks like a douche.

Yes he does indeed! (which one's the singer?)
― StanM, Wednesday, 25 July 2007 14:06 (eighteen years ago)

Not to say that opportunism never produced great singles, of course.

― pretzel walrus, Wednesday, 25 July 2007 14:11 (eighteen years ago)
Look at them, they think they're Monster Magnet!
― StanM, Wednesday, 25 July 2007 14:14 (eighteen years ago)

In the Neil Young biography, "Shakey", Neil Young attributes his guitar style to the influence of John Kay [of Steppenwolf]. Young and Kay are both Canadians. Former founding Steppenwolf member Goldy McJohn once played in a band with Young and Rick James known as The Mynah Birds.

― GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Thursday, 26 July 2007 06:51 (eighteen years ago)
I think that's from the inside gatefold of Monster, but I haven't held a copy of that record in my hands in over 25 years.
― Nubbelverbrennung, Thursday, 26 July 2007 07:19 (eighteen years ago)
