Blonde Redhead: Standard or Alternate tunings?

I know that some of their earlier songs are in alternate tunings and that is why they were tagged as a sonic youth sounding band. However i am wondering if for the last few records (23, misery, and melody) if they still used alternative tunings? or have they just been really good musicians and made it sound that way through standard? much thanks.

He definitely uses an alternate tuning up through Melody and I'm pretty sure it's the same for Misery. I saw them twice in support of 23 but I didn't really pay attention to the tuning, under the assumption that it's still the same one of Eb-Bb-F-Gb-C-Eb.

some of the 23 songs do not have the same tunings as each other, yes.

there was a lot of guitar swapping when i saw them this week (for old and new tracks alike) which suggests to me that different tunings are still very much a part of their approach
