I'd have to tie between "Reader Meet Author" and "The Boy Racer," in that bits from each song come to mind randomly in my head on a fairly regular basis. Yesterday it was "And the year 2000 won't change anyone here..."

I really like this album, but the singles are my least favorite tracks. Difficult decision but I voteded "Best Friend on the Payroll".

"the boy racer," no contest. one of the peaks of his solo career. "dagenham dave" runs a close second to me, even though i've heard rumors that fans hate that one. i think it's catchy as hell.

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

ILX System, Friday, 27 July 2007 23:01 (eighteen years ago)

be serious

wanko ergo sum, Friday, 27 July 2007 23:11 (eighteen years ago)

if i knew that this thread existed, i would've voted for "the operation."

i didn't see this poll! how could anyone not vote for the teachers are afraid of the pupils???????????????????????????????

scott seward, Thursday, 8 November 2007 19:46 (eighteen years ago)

It's a pretty dreadful album. If he'd included "Nobody Loves Us" on it, that track would soar above the dreck in an almost embarrassing way.

Emily S., Thursday, 8 November 2007 19:49 (eighteen years ago)

This album is awesome, you're gay!!

But Dagenham Dave isn't much, despite a nifty middle eight.

wanko ergo sum, Thursday, 8 November 2007 20:08 (eighteen years ago)

I missed this poll too! Probably would have voted for Boy Racer. Last album of his I have any use for.

da croupier, Thursday, 8 November 2007 20:17 (eighteen years ago)

ok i like "Satan Rejected My Soul" on Maladjusted

da croupier, Thursday, 8 November 2007 20:18 (eighteen years ago)

i like the title track on Maladjusted, and "Wide to Receive" a little. Since that, "Life is a Pigsty" is about the only SONG I've adored.

wanko ergo sum, Thursday, 8 November 2007 20:40 (eighteen years ago)

Oh come on, this is an excellent album. Had I known about this poll I'd have voted Reader Meet Author I think.

Bus Driver Stu, Thursday, 8 November 2007 20:59 (eighteen years ago)

people are wrong. people are fucking wrong

DavidM, Thursday, 8 November 2007 21:13 (eighteen years ago)

This is a great album. Life Is A Pigsty is a ridiculous song.

antexit, Thursday, 8 November 2007 22:06 (eighteen years ago)

i thought this would be about grammar in southern rap

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Thursday, 8 November 2007 22:09 (eighteen years ago)

is alma matters on malajdusted? i dig that one...or "sunny"? i think that's a b-side from the era on his greatest hits...

Can I just say that I fucking LOVE "The Teachers Are Afraid Of The Pupils"? Well, I do. It certainly craps all over everything else on this album from a great, brown, splattery height.

Alex in NYC, Friday, 9 November 2007 00:03 (eighteen years ago)

The end bit when MOZZER GOES METAL! Fucking brilliant.

what the fuck happened to this poll, seriously

deeznuts, Monday, 28 April 2008 20:10 (seventeen years ago)

five years pass...

lol what a terrible poll, hardly anyone voted and those that did seem to have voted for the only song they knew, Imo the worse song on the album. really didn't get this album when it came out kind of summed my disillusionment at the time. I quite like it now though.

OutdoorFish, Sunday, 4 August 2013 21:25 (twelve years ago)
