Now it's 1986. And still some interesting stuff even though the quality of pop music was slowly getting worse.

Voting Midge Ure, because nobody else will, and because it was a great, underrated song. His last great song in fact.

voting "Camoflauge" because it was my favorite song in the entire world when I was a kid

(which still doesn't mean I can spell it correctly)

I went for Brilliant Mind, although it was close one -- I did love Camouflage, speshly the bit where Ridgway goes "I knew there was something w-e-i-r-d abt him, coz when I turned around he was pulling this great big palm tree right up out of the ground and swatting those Charlies with it, from a-here to Kingdom Come!"

"Wa-hey! The rabbit kicked the bucket!!" How fantastic was this?!

"Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money)," although I enjoy several songs on this list.

A really horrible set of songs, but it does have one track that's always been a favourite of mine - 'You and Me, Tonight' by Aurra.

Sinful!

Matthew H, Monday, 6 August 2007 16:52 (eighteen years ago)

I asked for, and got given, this tape for Christmas 1986. But it was too tightly wound or something, and the pitch went off in places. I ended up deciding to change it for something else. Huey Lewis and the News's Fore! and a Peter Gabriel cassingle, I think. The following year, I got into indie music and didn't want my Huey Lewis album any more.

Opportunties.

OK, polls are broken. Sorry, don't believe that one.

ILM must have a huge legion of UB40 fans lurking and participating in polls without ever making any posts. :)
