Does Arular hold up as a great album?

I gave this a spin last week. It does. The stretch between "Amazon" & "Galang" isn't quite as good as the rest, but I knew that at the time.

No, it's really flat and boring. Gave it a spin on Friday, and it just never connected outside of a couple of tracks (I still think Galang is great).

I was surprised to see it on my 15-year-old sister's Christmas list back inna day.
